Working with acne can be complicated.

This client has both inflammed (nodules, cysts) and non-inflamed (blackheads, closed comedones) acne. Not all of her pimples can or should be extracted.

For the pimples I could safely extract, we used a comedone tool and cotton swabs. For the inflamed acne, I treated with a sulphur spot treatment, and some places I used a cotton swab to precisely dab a small spot of chemical exfoliant.

While inflamed papules can sometimes be extracted, cysts rarely can and nodules never can. In fact, trying to extract a nodule can result in keloid scarring.

Hospital hygeine!

My partner recently had to spend a few nights in the hospital (she’s fine now!) and this is the little package I made her to help keep her feeling clean and fresh until we could get her home.
