What Services Are Included in In-Home Care? - With A Little Help 09/16/2026

What can an in-home caregiver actually help with? Quite a lot.
In-home care can include help with bathing and dressing, meals, light housekeeping, mobility, transportation, errands, medication reminders, companionship, memory support, overnight care, and more.
But families don’t have to choose each of these as separate services. A personalized care plan can combine the support your loved one needs into their normal daily routine.
Our latest article explains what’s included in non-medical in-home care, how different services work together, and where in-home care differs from skilled home health care.

Will your loved one have the same caregiver every time they receive in-home care?
Not necessarily, and having more than one familiar caregiver can actually be a good thing.
Caregivers need days off, take vacations, and sometimes get sick. Seniors who need extensive care will naturally need more than one person. The important thing is building familiarity with caregivers who know your loved one’s routines, preferences, personality, and care needs.
Our latest article looks at caregiver consistency, finding the right personality fit, what happens when a regular caregiver isn’t available, and why a small team of familiar caregivers can provide both consistency and reliable coverage.

Overnight Care for Seniors: What Families Can Expect - With A Little Help 09/08/2026

What actually happens when an overnight caregiver comes to your loved one’s home?
Overnight care can look different depending on the senior. Some caregivers remain awake and alert throughout the entire shift, ready to help with bathroom trips, mobility, repositioning, confusion, or wandering. Live-in care works differently, allowing the caregiver to sleep while remaining available when needed.
Schedules can vary too. Overnight shifts are commonly 8 to 12 hours, while some families choose longer shifts that include both evening and morning routines.
Our latest article explains how overnight care for seniors works, what caregivers can help with, and what families can expect from bedtime through morning.
