ROQ Climbing
HIIT meets rock climbing - The first climbing-based group fitness experience opening in Seattle.

We have some difficult news to share with our community: ROQ will be closing, with our final day of operations on September 14.
Eight and a half months ago, we opened our doors hoping to create a different way to experience climbing. We wanted to create an experience that felt approachable, social, challenging, and just as much like a workout as a new hobby.
We’ve gotten to watch people walk into ROQ having never touched a climbing wall and become regulars. We’ve watched friendships form, people surprise themselves, and coaches build communities within their classes. This new and exciting little idea of ours became a place that people genuinely cared about.
We’re very grateful for the time we did get.
We’ll be open and running classes through September 14, and we’d love nothing more than to spend these last couple of weeks with the people who made ROQ what it is. Come climb, take another class, bring a friend, or just stop in and say hi. ❤️
This also isn’t the last you’ll hear from us. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more here, including where you can continue to find and support our incredible coaches.
If you have questions, our DMs are open and you’re always welcome to reach out.
We hope we’ll see you before the 14th. ❤️💪
Sometimes you it walk into your 5:45 ready to have the best workout of your life. Sometimes you’ve been considering cancelling since 2:17pm.
Both versions of you are allowed in class.
The nice part about group fitness is that once your make it through the door, somebody else has already figured out the workout, the music is on, and all that’s really left to do is participate. Very convenient for those of us who have used up our decision-making abilities for the day.
Anyway, see you at 5:45 like you promised 🫡

When your workout class is somehow a hobby, a social plan, and the reason their entire week has to be scheduled around a 5:45 reservation.
If you love group fitness, a good class, and finding a workout you actually look forward to, welcome to ROQ. We just happen to do ours with a little more climbing involved.
And yes, your first intro class is free. Do with that information what you will 🤔
We genuinely think working out is more fun when you have people to do it with.
Getting yourself to work out is a lot easier when you know the people in the room, and your coach knows what you’re working toward.
That’s one of our favorite things about ROQ’s concept: you don’t have to know anyone when you walk in, but after a few classes, you start recognizing the same faces and seeing people progress alongside you.
Tag the person you need to bring with you 🫶
And if you’ve been looking for a reason to finally get into a new routine, our next bootcamp is Aug 17.

Some of my best parts of the week are already on my calendar.
No deciding what workout to do. No wandering around the gym. No waiting for equipment. No pre-gym dread.
I love being able to show up, move for a whole hour, and leave feeling my best.

If I don’t answer right away...
I’m probably here.
The funny thing is, the workouts you look forward to are usually the ones you stick with the longest.

Saw this edit circling the yoga community and we knew we had to put a climbing-specific spin on it.
Dylan showed us what a ROQ climbing block looks like at 40° on the kilter board. If you want to check out the full video where he walks us through it, check out the link in bio to find our YouTube channel! And yes… he falls a couple times.
