As Creative Director of Taste Studios SF, Eddie Valentine has 30+ years experience as an accomplished Hair and Make-up stylist and Fine Artist. As a skilled Hair and Make-up stylist, Eddie has worked both locally and internationally in all areas of the commercial, editorial, fashion and beauty industries. He is available for print, film, fashion, personal one on one sessions and special events like weddings, fashion shows and public appearances. As a Fine Artist, he makes beautiful and whimsical art works using everything from broken toy parts and jewelry, to various scraps of wood, plastic, fabric and metals he salvages. He then sculpts, paints and re-imagines all that "Stuff" into 2D and 3D works which he then finishes off with a shiny and glittery veneer that he uses as a lure to capture his viewers attention. Also, as a professional Fine Artist, Eddie Valentine is a member of and represented by Visual AIDS NYC (http://www.visualaids.org/artists/detail/eddie-valentine#.UoVLy3CTiSo) & (www.visualaids.org), an organization that helps artist with life-threatening illnesses to continue their works like Eddie, who is a long term HIV survivor. Visual AIDS NYC supports its artists through contacts in the community, both locally and nationally, as well as with modest stipends earned by submitting works yearly. Eddie received his formal education at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Art Institute between 1976 and 1982 and again returning part time in 2003-2010 to continue his art education at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco. His Academy of Art education was facilitated through the Department of Rehabilitation and the Positive Resource Center.
