Haircuts & Color for Every Body Mat has had a long and extensive career behind the chair. He made Portland his home in 2012.

He was born in New Zealand and moved to Idaho when he was in high school. He graduated top of his class from Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy in 2010. Prior to joining the team at Gilded Opal Hair Salon, Mat spent 8 years in a NW based shop as a senior stylist, as well as a shop manager, specializing in fierce fashion color and in style hair cuts.
