FOR SALE: Today’s assignment was an interesting one for me. As a kid growing up in downtown McKinney, I use to ride my bike to see this farm next to Finch Park. The Queen Anne-style home & barn were built between 1901-1902 and are both on the National Register of Historic Places. After being passed down through generations, the property is now being put on the market. Dangerous Heat Index Wednesday PM

Yuck! Feels like 93 at 4am in DFW. Extreme heat warning in place with heat index up to 116 this afternoon. Still can’t rule out an isolated storm to pop this afternoon with the backdoor front arriving from the Northeast.

No end to this heatwave in sight with triple digits for the foreseeable future. Even a high risk for excessive heat by month end. Latest guidance could get into the 110 range with record heat to end July. Stay cool and stay hydrated!

Nothing but triples...A stout ridge of high pressure will build in from the northwest this week bringing oppressive heat and some humidity to go along with it. Heat indexes will likely push 110 degrees over the next few days. Meantime, this same ridge will keep Bertha well south of here so no hope for any rain.
