UK‑Ghanaian Reginald Yaw Asante Osei is the pioneer who transformed hip‑hop into hiplife.He lived in New York and Accra during his formative years.He has lived in Ghana continuously since 1994, the year he launched the Hiplife revolution.He is universally known as the “Godfather” or “Grandpapa” of Hiplife.
