Texas summers are no joke, especially when you've got little ones running around outside from sunup to sundown. ☀️🐷🌻

As a mom, farm girl, and esthetician, I know how quickly a fun day outside can turn into an overheated, cranky afternoon if we're not paying attention.

A few reminders for this Texas heat:

✔ SPF 30+ every day
✔ Reapply every 2 hours (more often if swimming or sweating)
✔ Hats, sunglasses, and protective clothing help more than you think
✔ Keep water bottles handy and encourage frequent sips
✔ Plan outdoor play before 10 AM or after 5 PM when possible
✔ Don't forget ears, lips, neck, hands, and tops of feet

🚨 Watch for signs of heat exhaustion:
• Heavy sweating
• Pale or clammy skin
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Nausea or upset stomach
• Fatigue or unusual tiredness
• Muscle cramps
• Irritability or confusion in children

If you notice these signs:
➡ Move to a cool, shaded area immediately
➡ Offer cool water or electrolyte drinks
➡ Use cool washcloths or a cool bath
➡ Remove excess clothing
➡ Seek medical care if symptoms worsen or don't improve
