* Pillow cases?? You should have either satin or silk pillow cases, if you do not you are damaging your hair. Satin or silk allows your hair to glide across the pillow, with any other cases your hair will not and it causes friction which will lead to breakage.

*Wash your hair in lukewarm to cool water so that the hair shaft will lie flat giving you a smooth and glossy look.
