Learning as we grow

Hey fellow growers how's this 2026 season been for you? Today we had our largest harvest all year. And its not even a ¼ of how large they would normally be. But, we are thankful for it.

Today we trying out sautéed sweet potato leaves! I am learning how to use more of what we are accustomed to just tossing in the compost pile. They taste just like spinach to me.

Decided to try cooking my broccoli leaves since they look just like collard greens. Guess what? They taste even BETTER than collards!

Going to try out these broccoli leaves from my garden. I've heard folks say they taste better than collard greens. Have you ever tried them? What did you think?

We almost pulled our corn. We started it late and then it proceeded to rain and storm for most of the season. Today we were rewarded for not giving up. It's not a lot, but its ours! 😁

Sorry, I havent been posting lately. Cancer treatments had me horrendously fatigued. But, I'm pushing through. The garden is hanging in there also, but yields this season have been abysmal. We've had tons of rain and crazy hot temps. Hoping the Fall garden will be better.

Here's this week's garden pics! Harvests have been small. But we are thankful for whatever we get.

Managed to get a handful of beans today and we havested some potatoes!!
