Rhinoplasty healing happens in stages:
* 1 week: Splint usually comes off. Bruising and swelling are still present.
* 2 weeks: Most people look socially presentable; bruising is usually much better.
* 4–6 weeks: Significant swelling has decreased, but the nose is still healing.
* 3 months: Shape becomes much more refined; roughly 70–80% of swelling may be gone.
* 6 months: Most of the result is visible.
* 12 months: Final result is commonly assessed.

Sleep on your back with your head elevated, ideally around 30–45°, and avoid sleeping on your side or stomach. This helps minimize swelling and protects your new nose during healing.
