I remember a season when I kept pushing myself — work, side hustle, and responsibilities at home.
I kept telling myself, “Kaya ko pa. Konti na lang.”

Pero deep inside, I was already running on empty.

I thought slowing down meant I was lazy.

I thought pausing meant I was falling behind.

Then one quiet morning, coffee in hand and my Bible open, I realized something:
God wasn't asking me to earn my rest.
HE WAS INVITING ME TO RECEIVE IT. 🙏

That moment changed something in me.

I started realizing that I don't always need to push harder to be strong.
Sometimes, strength looks like surrender.

Sometimes, faith looks like saying:
“Lord, I trust You enough to stop for a while.”

And maybe you need that reminder today, too.

Rest is not something you earn — it’s something you receive.
When you pause, you’re not falling behind; you’re stepping into God’s rhythm of grace.

And sometimes, resting in His presence is exactly where we find the strength to keep going.

We often think of grace as something we needed BACK THEN — when we made mistakes, failed, wandered, or needed forgiveness.

David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies — the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied."

Para mas ma-gets natin yung tapang ni David, picture this:

🏛 ​THE ISRAELITE FEAR: For 40 days, Goliath stepped out twice a day to taunt Israel, challenging them to send a single champion for a winner-take-all battle. And guess what? Si King Saul at ang buong Israelite army, PARALYZED IN FEAR. Walang gustong lumaban!

🏛 THE SHEPHERD BOY: David was not a soldier; he was a young shepherd sent by his father merely to bring rations to his older brothers. Ang dala lang nya? Slingshot, limang smooth stones, at matinding tiwala sa Diyos. Humanly speaking? Lugi at talo talaga.

David didn't have the size, armor, or weapons that Goliath had.

Pero alam mo kung ano ang meron si David?

HE KNEW WHO WAS WITH HIM.

David wasn't pretending that Goliath wasn't scary.

He knew exactly how intimidating Goliath was.

But instead of saying,
"Malakas si Goliath. Wala akong chance."

David basically said,
"YES, HE'S BIG. BUT MY GOD IS BIGGER." 🙏

And maybe that's the reminder we need today.

Faith doesn't mean na wala tayong problems.

Faith means WE DON'T FACE OUR PROBLEMS ALONE.

Minsan kasi, kapag tinititigan natin nang tinititigan ang problema, lalo itong lumalaki.

The unpaid bills look bigger.

The business challenge looks bigger.

The family problem looks bigger.

Our fears become bigger.

Until eventually, nakakalimutan natin kung gaano kalaki ang Diyos na kasama natin.

Friend, whatever you're facing today, don't measure your future by the size of your giant.
Measure it by the greatness of your God.

The God who holds the universe in His hands is the very same God who goes before you.

Step out with boldness today — your Goliath is no match for your God!

Thousands of years ago, when the city of Jerusalem was surrounded by a terrifying enemy and facing imminent destruction, the writers of Psalm 46 didn't panic.
Instead, they wrote this timeless anchor:
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble." — Psalm 46:1

Notice that the Bible doesn't pretend tragedy and trouble don't exist — the very next verses talk about mountains crumbling into the sea!
