May 19 marks one year since he pointed a gun at my face.
Since that day, everything changed. I snapped awake. The sleepless nights, the weight loss, the fear, the disgust, the loss of respect — all of it came from surviving something that should never have happened.
But I survived.
God pulled me out of a cycle and pattern of abuse I kept trying to excuse and understand. Clarity came when I finally accepted the truth: irresponsibility without accountability is dangerous. I almost lost my life, and I will never ignore that again.
I don’t trust him anymore.
Exposing the truth is not revenge. Filing complaints was not bitterness. It was choosing peace, safety, and myself.
And slowly, I got my peace back.
