Life updates…. Settling into our new spaces really nicely. It’s interesting being in a completely different space but still having all our bits n pieces and people to remind us that no matter where we are, home is there ✨❤️
Couple notices.. It’s almost July, which means…

✔️birthdays galore for me and my whānau.
Please do not wait if you are wanting to see me between 6-18 July as they are both short weeks for me. If you’re after a Saturday this weekend I have a couple spaces otherwise there is no Saturday availability until 15/08 😱
It’s also time for a slight price increase come July 1. Most services will have a minor increase. We can all thank that orange guy for making everything more expensive 😓

As the saying goes, when one door closes another opens. And so, as I bid farewell to my little corner spot on Richardson Road this coming Friday 5 June, I welcome you all to our new good hair day posse. From Wednesday 10 June the Spot will be operating from the beautiful space at Loft Hair in Morningside.
Loft has an amazing NY loft vibe with comfort in mind. From the waiting area, to the gorgeous little courtyard space the vibe here is built with cool in mind (not to mention there is a beauty therapist operating on site too, someone say facial) 🙌🏾

My tupuna have big plans for me and, as I age it’s getting easier to follow the tohu me te mauri and navigate forwards. The timing of opening doors, the certainty living in my puku, the piwakawaka at the window delivering news, te kaha ki roto i taku wairua.
Ko koe tō rangatira. You are your own leader.
And so, after almost 15 years our little corner known as the Spot is having a change of landscape. Morphing and readying to propel us into our next adventures.
We’re on the move! I will be taking up space in a salon 5mins up the road and we’re moving into a new whare in St Lukes. I don’t even have the words for the intensity of my feelings about this little shop of horrors. It’s incomprehensible tbh. They say a house is not a home, but I can say hand on heart, that this whare has most certainly been the most perfect container to build a legacy about what “home” is for our whānau. The home within its walls will be a story for my mokopuna one day. The spot will be trading from a new local location from 10/06/26. If I don’t answer this week it’s cos I’m moving house 💃🏽
