The Beauty Elixir

Some late night musings I wrote before sleeping last night. The idea that we hand over our aging process to an industry designed to make money off us, which I am part of but am trying to disrupt - due to the fact that we don’t trust ourselves BECAUSE we are currently telling ourselves one story and projecting another to the world… I feel like I have so many huge ideas that drop in that I try to put into human words… so I hope this makes sense and resonates. to those who are currently in the performative authenticity space - this is not a dig at you!! If showing up in glitter and dancing online truly lights you up - then I say DO IT!!!! It’s when we try to replicate this… for the sake of the algorithm, over the true wisdom we can receive by these sacred practices (I may or may not have a dancing in the kitchen video on my phone…) that was the moment I realised I was performing authenticity for the gram, instead of just living it. I’m still trying to figure out how one authentically goes from practicing IRL to being able to share or teach without it being performance… I’m also thinking of starting a Substack because who has the attention space required to read these long Instagram posts I like to write?

So far this month I’ve made 3 sales + booked 1 facial. As a sahm mum of 3 under 6, who I also homeschool. This is not another 100k launch, but it’s got me excited and I thought I’d celebrate myself!!

I’ve also started taking my business more seriously, with a few “boring” business strategies… is this the change I needed? Possibly. Who actually knows, I wasn’t tracking before 😂
