The Benefits of Baby Massage:

This course will teach you to massage and connect with your baby on a deep level through the sense of touch
The mission statement of the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) is to promote nurturing touch and communication through training, education and research so that parents, caregivers and children are loved, valued and respected. For the Parents and Caregivers:

Supports bonding and relaxation
Improves your ability to understand your baby’s body language and cues
Increased parental competence in relating to and handling the baby
Increases prolactin / oxytocin (the hormone which furthers "motherly instincts" and wellbeing) aiding relaxation and reduction of post natal depression. Positive effects extending to other relationships i.e. partner, other children

Baby massage class offers parents and care givers the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences, and also to meet new people

For all Babies:

Supports the bonding process building trust and intimacy which will endure through time. Improves the blood circulation, digestion, and balance
Conveys a conciousness of love, acceptance, and security
The baby learns how to relax and become calmer
