When you start in this industry its so easy to spend these busy periods just working and stressing, after a decade in the biz I make sure to give myself a couple of weekends for fun, festivals and friends rather than working every possible moment. Summer, birthdays, Christmas, all can rush past when you’re up at 4 am and washing brushes every night! Make sure you give yourself some time for self care too!

I am (unsurprisingly) a very visual person. I find amazing inspiration from nature and art, my phone is filled with them! Your look doesn’t have to be dictated by a face you have seen, maybe it’s your dress’s texture, a petal, a collage, a character. Bring your crazy inspo and let’s interpret them together! My clients inspire me most of all ✨

Such a classic face that was mad for this kind of look, she looks like a movie star. Had a lovely morning with her and her family and off she went to Dunmore East for the church 💕

Time to reintroduce myself!

Hi followers and new folks looking at my profile! Here’s a few things about me that might help you get to know me better ☺️

Before I started this page I used to use my personal instagram as a work instagram because thats how most of my online friends knew me! But eventually the years moved on and I wanted to use my personal page to share more personal things and it felt wrong to just be sharing peoples faces there too so I made this page just for work.

1. I moved with my family to Ireland in 1996 and grew up in West Cork, now I live in West Waterford.

2. My husband is also a wedding supplier (a musician) so when we got married we did almost everything ourselves! It was brilliant and exhausting and really helped me understand my brides better.

3. When I first started working (way back in 2011) I worked in theatre and specialized in period hair and makeup which is where my love my vintage styles came from!

4. I only started doing wedding work in 2014 and I have grown to love it very deeply! I feel in a lot of ways its like with theatre work, you are creating and crafting a whole look to make your Bride really shine through and I love the energy of the whole morning. It’s really gratifying to be part of such an important and emotional day and witness all the small moments

5. I have always loved sharing things online and even had blogs in the 2010’s where I shared very twee hipster images such as pic 4 😂 I lived in Spain and would always carry around a huge camera, even to the club!

6. I love doing both hair and makeup for small weddings, its so personal and collaborative between me and the customer and I always come away feeling like we are best friends!

7. I have 2 bold ponies, Blonde Matt and Red Matt! They are the bane of my existence and the light of my life.

8. The same can be said for our cat Mildred.

9. I love my home! We live in a small old cottage which is a constant process of love and work, we were actually featured on Cheap Irish Homes which was great although Im always embarrassed when people see a rerun 😂

10. I love gardening and growing flowers!

When your sister is also the celebrant for the day you know she needs to bring this glam too! For makeup we went for a subtle but slightly smoldering eye and a her hair was only just below shoulder length with layer which made it perfect for a low up do and some height on too. I think this sea foam green dress was just perfect with her hair and eyes too!

I had such a fun morning with this big family of sisters getting them ready in beautiful Tramore.

It’s all about the smile ☺️💕✨
