✨ FUN FACT ABOUT ME… ✨

I’m FAB Peer Supporter trained 🤍

I completed my training after having my 5th baby, driven by my own experiences and a desire to support other mums through their feeding journeys.

I’ve also breastfed 5 out of my 6 children - all for completely different lengths of time and with very different experiences. 🍼

And that’s something I love about motherhood… there’s no one-size-fits-all. Every mum, every baby and every journey is different. 🤍

This is definitely something I’m going to put to use in the near future - possibly in the community, meetings or on the ward at Pinderfields.

My own experiences are a huge part of why supporting mums is so important to me and why I do what I do ✨

🤰 Pregnancy Massage FAQs

Q: “How far along do I need to be before I can have a pregnancy massage?”
A: Pregnancy massage can be enjoyed any time after your first trimester. As soon as you enter your second trimester and everything is going well with the pregnancy, you’re good to book.

Q: “Is pregnancy massage safe?”
A: For most healthy pregnancies, pregnancy massage is a wonderful way to support your changing body. I use pregnancy-specific positioning and techniques designed with you and baby in mind. If you have any pregnancy complications or concerns, I may ask you to seek advice from your midwife or maternity team before booking.

Q: “How will I lie during the massage?”
A: You’ll never be expected to lie on your tummy! I use comfortable, supportive positioning with pregnancy pillows so you can properly relax while I work around your bump. Your comfort is always my priority.

Q: “What can pregnancy massage help with?”
A: It can be particularly good for easing everyday pregnancy aches and tension, including tired legs, back and shoulder tension, and the general feeling of carrying extra weight. It’s also a chance to switch off and enjoy some uninterrupted time for yourself.

Q: “Can you massage my bump?”
A: Yes, where appropriate and with your consent. Gentle, pregnancy-safe techniques can be incorporated, making the experience feel even more nurturing and connected.

Q: “Can I have a pregnancy massage if I’m having a C-section?”
A: Absolutely. Pregnancy massage can still be enjoyed during a planned C-section pregnancy, with the treatment adapted to your individual needs and comfort.

Q: “What should I wear?”
A: Whatever makes you feel comfortable. You’ll be appropriately draped throughout the treatment, with only the area being worked on exposed. You can completely relax knowing your privacy and dignity are protected.

Q: “Do I need to bring anything?”
A: Nope! Just bring yourself. I provide everything you need, including all the pillows, blankets and products to make your treatment as comfortable as possible.

Q:“Can I have a pregnancy massage if I’m feeling really uncomfortable?”
A: That’s often when a treatment can feel especially lovely. We’ll chat before your treatment about how you’re feeling and adapt everything around you. No two pregnancy massages need to be the same.

Q: “What if I need the toilet during my treatment?”
A: You’re pregnant … of course you can! 😂 There’s absolutely no need to feel awkward. Take as many toilet breaks as you need. I also prompt a toilet visit before every treatment.

Q: “Can I have a pregnancy massage if I’m overdue?”
A: If you’ve gone past your due date, I’ll always consider how you and baby are doing and whether there are any concerns. If you’re unsure, I recommend checking with your midwife or maternity team before your appointment.

Q: “Will I be able to relax enough to fall asleep?”
A: I hope so! 😂 My pregnancy treatments are designed to slow everything down, quieten your mind and give you a proper moment of calm. If you drift off, I’ll take it as a compliment!

And the question I think every mum needs answered…

Q: “Is it selfish to book a pregnancy massage?”
A: Absolutely not. Your body is doing something incredible. Taking an hour or two to rest, breathe and be cared for isn’t selfish - it’s an investment in you. You deserve to feel looked after too. ❤️

It’s so much more than a luxury hair wash 🤎

A Japanese Head Spa is an experience designed to make you slow down, switch off and reconnect with yourself.

From the deep scalp cleanse and nourishing treatment, to the steam, massage and calming sensory experience - every part is designed with relaxation and scalp health in mind.

✨ Helps remove product build-up & excess oils
✨ Stimulates the scalp through massage
✨ Supports healthy-looking hair and scalp
✨ Encourages relaxation and helps you unwind
✨ Gives you that “I’ve completely switched off” feeling

Yes, you leave with beautifully clean, soft hair…

But the real luxury is how you feel when you leave. 🫶🏼

It’s not just a hair wash.

The challenge you probably wouldn’t expect me to struggle with… 🤍

From the outside, I probably look like I have it all together.

Mum. Business owner. Family. Work. Life. Always showing up.

But behind the scenes, I struggle too.

I struggle with parenting.
With my own thoughts.
With overthinking and putting too much pressure on myself.
And sometimes, even just coping with the normal, everyday chaos of life.

There are days where I question whether I’m doing enough.
Days where everything feels a little too loud.
Days where I’m completely overwhelmed but still have to keep going.

And I think that’s the hardest part…

Because when you look like you’re coping, people don’t always realise when you’re not.

So this is your reminder - you don’t have to be falling apart to deserve support.

You can love your life and still find it hard.

You can love your children endlessly and still need a break.

You can look like you have it all together and still be struggling underneath it all.

We’re all human behind the highlights. 🤍

🤰 Quick Tip for Late Pregnancy

Feeling heavy, achy and uncomfortable between your pregnancy massage appointments?

Try gentle pelvic tilts throughout the day. Standing against a wall or sitting on a birth ball, gently tuck your pelvis under and release - slowly and comfortably, without forcing the movement.

✨ It can help ease lower-back and pelvic tension and encourage you to keep moving when your body feels heavy.

Little movements really can make a big difference in those final weeks. 🤎

Always work within your comfort level and always follow advice from your midwife or maternity team if you’ve been given any movement restrictions.
