The Emma Claire Ingredient of the week - Citrus peel extract from upcycling - An extract derived from the peels of Italian oranges and mandarins found in the precious parts of the fruit usually considered superiluous within the agri-food distribution chain. Citrus peel, on the contrary, is a rich source of bioactive compounds that protect the keratin structure, both at cuticle and cortex level, against damage caused by free radicals that weaken, break and cause dullness. Polyphenols found in citrus peel, help neutralize free radicals, contributing to keeping hair healthy and strong.
