Tuesday was the plan. Thursday was the result. This is what happened in between 🤍

A profile is read as one continuous line, and the eye is remarkably good at finding the point where that line breaks. What it is far less good at is identifying which feature is responsible. Anya arrived wanting her nose addressed, and the nose was part of it, but the profile was being pulled out of balance by three separate things, only one of which she had noticed.

Treatment was planned across the face rather than around a single feature. Filler along the dorsum and tip refined the nasal profile. The mandibular angle was defined to give the lower face a clearer contour. And the upper lip was brought forward with 0.2ml, which is a very small amount, placed to bring the profile closer to the Ricketts line. Before that adjustment the upper lip sat slightly behind where it should, and the effect was to make the lower jaw appear to project further than it does.

We also treated the mentalis with a small amount of anti-wrinkle injection, addressing the dimpling that appeared on the chin in movement. That change does not show in a still photograph, because the concern only exists when the face is active.

Every case at The Beauty Script begins with an assessment of the face as a whole, across a wide range of presentations, from single-feature requests to full profile work. Anya asked for a result nobody would be able to identify as treatment. That is the standard the plan was built around 🤍

“Yay! I love it!”

Anya arrived with four things she wanted to talk about. A jawline that had lost definition. Dimpling across her chin whenever she smiled or spoke. A side profile she felt was unbalanced. And a nose she wanted straighter, with the tip lifted.

What she is looking at in the mirror is a profile that now sits on the Ricketts line - tip of the nose, then the lip, then the chin, in the right relationship to one another. It is the reference we plan a profile against, and when it is right almost nobody can tell you why it looks correct. They simply see it.

And the chin will keep improving for another two weeks as the muscle lets go.

The nose sits at the centre of the face, which means small changes here are read across everything else 🤍

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is one of the most requested treatments we offer and one of the most misunderstood. It can do a great deal. It also cannot do several of the things people arrive hoping for, and being clear about that from the start is part of doing it well.

Here is the honest version.

Almost every lip consultation starts with a phone being turned around to face us.

On it, one of two things. A recovery so swollen and bruised it looks like an injury. Or a result so perfect that, to a medical eye, it has obviously been edited, and to everyone else, it has not.

Neither is what your lips will look like. Valentina shows you what they actually will - real, unfiltered, in the days after treatment and the one thing that decides how much swelling you get. It is not the product 🤍

The skin beneath the eye is the thinnest on the face, and it is often the first place where tiredness becomes permanent rather than temporary. Hollowing, crepe-like texture, and darkness that no amount of sleep resolves are usually a question of skin quality and volume rather than rest.

This patient was treated with polynucleotides. These work differently from filler, which adds volume directly. Polynucleotides stimulate the skin’s own repair processes, improving hydration, elasticity and thickness in the tissue itself over a course of treatments. For the under-eye area, where filler placed without careful assessment can worsen the appearance, this is frequently the more considered approach.

Every case at The Beauty Script begins with an assessment of what is actually causing the concern, since hollowing, pigmentation, thin skin and fluid retention all present similarly and respond to entirely different treatments. We work across the full range of under-eye presentations, including corrections of previous filler placed in this area.

Results build gradually over the course, and continue improving for several weeks after the final session 🤍

September has always felt more like a new year than January does 🤍

The light changes, the routine returns, and there is a particular kind of quiet that comes with wanting to start something properly.

If your skin has been through a summer, this is the month to give it back what it lost.

Your skin behaves differently from this month onwards, and most people notice it before they understand it 🤍

The change is not only the temperature. Indoor heating, lower humidity, and the accumulated sun exposure of the summer all arrive at once, and the routine that suited you in July will not necessarily suit you in October.

Here is what actually changes, and what to do about it.
