This September, I'm opening a doctor-led weight loss clinic — and I wanted to share what actually makes the difference.
GLP-1 medications can be genuinely effective, but the programme around them is what matters most. My background is 22 years in medicine, including bariatric surgery within the NHS and contributing to research in weight loss — and that experience shapes everything: how nutrition is managed, how side effects and muscle loss are monitored, and how your medication is adjusted around you rather than left to guesswork.
Doctor-led, evidence-based, and built around you. The waitlist is open now — join via the link in bio.

At-home options — face yoga, microcurrent devices —
mostly improve circulation and drain fluid. It looks fresh,
but it's subtle and temporary.
In-clinic treatments go further: EMFACE genuinely tones muscle,
while HIFU and Ultherapy reach the SMAS to tighten structure.
More meaningful, but still gradual.
The trap is expecting an at-home result to lift the face.
That's simply not what it's built to do.
Knowing the difference is how you spend well.
Combination treatments can accelerate your results..
I am loving the results I am seeing with and (hyaluronic acid + amino acids)…
Hydrating, regenerating and anti-inflammatory ….and this is so important to me! Because there are LOTS of regenerative treatments out there that CAUSE inflammation to create results, but with these treatments it’s not the case.

False — and it's one of the most common mix-ups I hear.
Of all the non-surgical lifting options, Ultherapy is the one with the most consistent, best-documented evidence behind it...though results are typically modest, so don't expect big changes!
It uses micro-focused ultrasound to reach the SMAS — the muscle layer of the face — stimulating collagen and gradually tightening the structure from within. Interestingly, although it works at the same depth as the facial muscles, it doesn't tone muscle directly; instead it lifts and firms the surrounding tissue, improving overall contour.
Results develop slowly, over three to six months, and can last up to a year. With modest rather than dramatic results, it is a genuine financial investment to consider if you can keep your expectations low — so it suits mild to moderate laxity and anyone looking for gradual, longer-lasting improvement without surgery.
As always, the best result comes from understanding where a treatment fits into your bigger picture, not from any one procedure alone.

Most weight loss journeys stall for one of a few reasons — and almost none of them come down to willpower.
Maybe the weight keeps coming back. Maybe you're not sure which option is actually right for you.
Maybe you're worried about side effects or losing muscle. Or maybe you've simply been doing it all on your own.
Whichever one you picked, it's exactly what doctor-led care is designed to address: the right medication for you,
nutrition managed throughout, muscle protected as you go, and regular check-ins so nothing is left to guesswork.
Tell me your answer in the comments. And if you'd like proper support, my new clinic opens this September,
waitlist via the link in bio.

Real, lasting weight loss is a long game - and it should be done with your health in mind.
The goal isn't just a lower number on the scale; it's losing weight in a way
that protects your muscle, supports your health, and holds over time.
That takes proper medical guidance, not guesswork.
If that's the support you've been looking for, my new clinic opens
this September : Book into the UNTIL clinic in Marlyebone or Soho for a face-2-face or remote consultation

Is the Lift Worth the Price?
Like HIFU, Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound to gradually
tighten the SMAS — it doesn't tone muscle. The difference: Ultherapy is
the FDA-approved, more precise version, done under live imaging,
so results are more reliable.
In this video, the honest bottom line: a strong, well-studied option with
results that last up to a year — but the results are modest, and the price
is high. Worth it? That part I'll leave you to decide.

EMFACE is one of the few treatments that genuinely works on muscle tone, which makes it a little different from everything we've looked at so far.
It combines HIFES, which creates a truly sustained muscle contraction rather than the twitching we see with microcurrent, and radiofrequency, which supports the skin by encouraging collagen production. Together, they work on both muscle tone and skin quality — usually over a course of around four sessions, with occasional maintenance to keep the results.
In this video, I look at what EMFACE can realistically achieve, and the honest answer to the bigger question: does toning the muscle actually lift the tissues?

HIFU and Ultherapy are often spoken about as if they're the same treatment. They share a principle: focused ultrasound that reaches the SMAS and stimulates collagen to lift and support the deeper structure of the fac, and both can be a real asset within a considered plan.
Ultherapy is FDA-cleared, with standardised settings and imaging that confirms where the energy is delivered, which gives it the strongest evidence base and a wonderfully predictable result. Generic HIFU offers a broader, more accessible range of devices, and in experienced hands it can be a great option too - the key is choosing a practitioner who knows their machine well.
Both work on structure rather than muscle, so the right choice simply comes down to what fits you best: budget, predictability, and, above all, being in good hands.
𝟓 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞: 𝐿𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑟 3 – 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑆𝑀𝐴𝑆 | #4 Is In-Clinic Microcurrent Any Better?
Having looked at at-home devices, the natural next question is whether stepping into the clinic changes what microcurrent can really do.
In-clinic devices are a little more powerful, but the difference may not be quite what you'd expect, and understanding why helps set realistic expectations for what this treatment can and can't offer.
In this video, I compare in-clinic and at-home microcurrent, what each one is actually doing, and when a treatment like this is genuinely worth considering.
