GP and Holistic Aesthetic Doctor | Non-Invasive Skin Peels + Treatments. Non-Toxic alternatives to Botox and Filler.
People ask me constantly what I actually take myself – so here it is.
Supplements aren't magic, and no capsule replaces the fundamentals: sleep, protein, sunscreen, managing stress. But the right ones can genuinely support your skin from the inside, alongside a collagen-banking approach.
I always tell my patients: what you put in matters as much as what you put on. Skin is a mirror of your internal health.
(As always – check with your own doctor before starting anything new, especially if you're pregnant or on medication.)

Retinol is not the gold standard of skincare. Not for everyone.
Yes – retinol stimulates collagen. The evidence is real. But it isn't the right answer for every woman. For sensitive skin, melanin-rich skin, or anyone in a warmer climate, the side effects often outweigh the benefit: irritation, dryness, sensitivity to light – and post-inflammatory pigmentation, which is a genuine clinical concern for darker skin tones.
You end up needing more products just to manage what the retinol is doing. That's not a simpler routine. It's a more complicated one.
There are clinically sound ways to support collagen without that trade-off.

Starting off the week and a new school term with this in mind…it’s good to be back after the summer and finally get back into some sort of routine!

We've been taught to chase wrinkles. That's the wrong target.
Wrinkles are a symptom. Collagen loss is the cause. When we focus only on smoothing lines, we're treating the surface while the structure underneath keeps changing. Firmness, texture, the way your skin holds light and bounces back – that's all collagen.
This is why two women the same age can look a decade apart. It's rarely about wrinkles. It's about how much structural collagen their skin has retained, and how well they've supported it.
Support the foundation, and the surface takes care of itself.
Comment COLLAGEN and I'll send you The Collagen Banking Blueprint – everything I teach my patients about protecting that foundation.
I'm an aesthetic doctor. And I don't offer Botox or fillers in my clinic.
After 15 years in practice, I've seen what injectables can do to a face over time – muscles that weaken and overcompensate, filler that migrates and builds up. The women who age most gracefully in my clinic aren't the ones who started injectables early. They're the ones who started banking their collagen early.
Collagen is your skin's scaffolding, and after your mid-20s it declines by roughly 1% a year. No injectable addresses that. Supporting your own collagen does.
That's the whole reason I founded Doctor Skin Collagen®.

Your skin at 60 is being decided right now – in your 30s and 40s.
Here's what 15 years in practice has taught me: the women whose skin ages beautifully aren't the ones chasing the newest treatment. They're the ones who started protecting their collagen early.
Collagen is the scaffolding of your skin – its firmness, its bounce, its resilience. From your mid-20s, we lose it at approximately 1% a year. Most women only start paying attention once that loss becomes visible. By then, you're playing catch-up.
Collagen banking is the opposite approach: supporting and preserving your collagen now, while you still have it, so your skin ages on your terms – not by accident. It's the philosophy my whole practice, and Doctor Skin Collagen®, is built on.
I've put my complete approach into a free guide. Comment COLLAGEN and I'll send The Collagen Banking Blueprint straight to you.
When people describe someone as looking expensive, radiant or incredibly well cared for, they are rarely talking about age.
They are usually responding to skin quality.
Healthy skin reflects light differently.
It appears more resilient.
More even.
More luminous.
This is one of the reasons I focus so heavily on collagen preservation. Because collagen influences many of the qualities we associate with beautiful skin:
• Elasticity
• Recovery
• Density
• Texture
• Light reflection
Youth fades.
Skin quality can be cultivated.
Would you rather chase youth or build skin quality?

Preventative health is becoming more accessible, and I’m a huge advocate for helping people understand their health before problems develop.
The Neko Health Scan is one of the most interesting new options available, but it’s important to know both what it can and can’t do.
Would I recommend it?
For many healthy adults looking for a comprehensive baseline assessment, yes. Just remember that it’s designed to complement—not replace—traditional medical care.
Have you had a Neko scan? I’d love to hear about your experience below.

The best skin decisions are rarely dramatic.
They're usually repetitive.
And often invisible.
Nobody notices when you wear SPF on a cloudy Tuesday.
Nobody applauds you for getting enough sleep.
Nobody comments when you prioritise recovery.
But your skin notices.
Every day.
Years later, the results of those decisions become visible.
One of the most empowering aspects of healthy skin collagen is understanding that future skin is built through cumulative behaviours. Not occasional perfection.
What decision would your future skin thank you for?
