6 reasons your energy might be low🥱

Feeling dependent on coffee to make it through the day? I’m certainly team-coffee, but ideally it shouldn’t be a crutch. If you’re forever reaching for that 2nd, 3rd, or 4th cup, ask yourself these questions:

1. Are you eating enough? Do you know how much you need to be eating in a day for basic bodily functions?🥑

2. Are you sleeping AT LEAST 7 hour per night? “I actually feel best on 5 hours” is usually a lie we tell ourselves to justify the sleep deprivation🙃 This is only true for a very small subset of the population💤

3. Have you had recent bloodwork? Iron, B12, Vitamin D, Thyroid, and Blood Sugar are some examples that can contribute to low energy🩸

4. Are you spending all day glued to your desk? Lack of exercise and sedentary behaviour (prolonged sitting) are both risk factors for lower energy🏃🏼‍♀️

5. Do you have rest and recovery time in your schedule? Our physiology is not designed to be “productive” every minute we’re awake. We can’t run from rest🧘🏼‍♀️

6. How’s your mental health? Anxiety, depression, and burnout can all contribute to fatigue😫

The number of coffees I have per day generally reflects my stress level… I’m currently averaging 1.5/day🥴 You?
