“Wait… what are we saying now?” 😅
Here’s the thing: in 2026, we’re retiring anti-aging. Not because aging is the enemy, but because fighting your skin was never the goal. EVER.
We’re saying skin longevity now. It means building a healthy barrier as the foundation first, then adding actives with intention. We are not chasing every line with the most aggressive treatment or product on the shelf.
One is fix mode. The other is skin that actually ages well.
This is how I’ve built every treatment plan for 20 years. It just finally has a name.

This piece by Jia Tolentino ( Jia Tolentino )for The New Yorker stopped me in my tracks.
The relationship between beauty, identity and artificial perfection is a conversation that comes up constantly in my studio, and it is one I am watching very closely.
Clients and colleagues regularly come to me for honest advice about treatments, practitioners and where to go in the city. As cosmetic procedures become increasingly accessible and normalized, I believe my responsibility extends beyond the treatments I personally offer.
It means continuing to educate myself on what is happening across the industry. From biostimulators such as Sculptra, to devices, injectables and the rapidly evolving and often controversial conversation around peptides. What works? What is overhyped? What are the risks? Who is properly qualified? And most importantly, is this treatment genuinely right for the individual asking about it?
This is not about judging anyone for changing their appearance. Personal autonomy matters, and aesthetic treatments can be deeply empowering when they are approached with intention, moderation and proper guidance.
This is about insight.
Fashion has always changed with the trends, but now our faces and bodies are being invited to follow those same trend cycles. A certain eye shape, lip size, jawline or body type becomes desirable, and suddenly individuality can begin to feel like something that needs to be corrected.
At what point are we choosing what truly suits us, and at what point are we choosing what the algorithm has repeatedly taught us to want?
At my core I believe beauty should give us more freedom to express ourselves, not quietly move us all toward the same face.
An incredible and necessary piece by Jia Tolentino. Original feature via The New Yorker

What I’d tell my younger skin and what I tell my clients every single day. 🤍 Swipe through —>
If you’ve ever Googled “why isn’t my skincare working” or “how to get clearer skin in your 30s and 40s”. Swipe through. This is for you.
The skincare industry is built on selling you more. But after 20+ years as a medical esthetician in Toronto, here’s what actually matters:
SPF every single day. A chemical exfoliant, not a scrub. Understanding that acne is hormonal, not a hygiene issue. One trusted professional over twenty random products. And the truth that your glow starts from within - sleep, stress, nutrition, hydration.
These are the things I wish someone had told me earlier. And the things I tell every single client who sits in my treatment chair.
It’s never too late to start. Your skin is more resilient than you think.

Your skin goals don’t come from one facial. They come from consistency. 🤍
Real skin correction happens in layers. Each treatment builds on the last to strengthen skin function, improve results, and keep your skin working optimally between appointments.
The clients who see the biggest transformations are the ones who stay committed to the process ✨

Chapters.
Eleven years of marriage. Decades of friendship. Visiting the world with people who show up without being asked.
Moments like this are a mirror. Reflecting life lived through intention.
Entrepreneurs talk a lot about the hustle. We don’t talk enough about the surrender. About what happens when you finally stop long enough to feel the softness of the ground beneath our bare-feet. To rest without guilt. To let healing be the whole agenda.
I came back with new ideas, a full heart, and a clearer sense of what this next chapter is for.

Six weeks before the Bahamas 🏝️, I sat in my own treatment chair.
My Treatment Stack-
Microneedling with exosomes for tissue remodeling.
AFA for barrier-intelligent exfoliation.
HydraFacial with a custom skin booster to seal everything in.
Timing is everything. These treatments need adequate healing time before sun exposure. And non-negotiable regardless of what you’ve had done…SPF, every single day.
This is what planned skin looks like.

A facial is a 28-day skin cycle. Not a 60-minute appointment. Here’s what actually happens to your skin after a professional facial treatment in Toronto. 🤭
every skin specialist has been asked one time or another: “I broke out after my treatment- did it make my skin worse?”
The answer is No. That’s your skin doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s called purging and it means the treatment worked.
Most people judge their facial at day 4. But the real result doesn’t show up until day 14-28, after a full cell turnover cycle.
Swipe through to see what happens day by day, why prebooking every 4-6 weeks matters, and what NOT to do between appointments.

Pour into yourself first!
This is your reminder that you don’t owe anyone an explanation for choosing yourself. Not for the boundaries you set. Not for the glow up. Not for outgrowing rooms you used to fit in.
You’re doing your thing right now. And the people who matter? They already see it.
Now go high five yourself in the mirror boo, you’ve earned it.
