Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain, and if you've ever had it, you know exactly how much those first steps out of bed in the morning can hurt.
It occurs when the thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot becomes inflamed, usually from overuse, poor foot mechanics, or sudden changes in activity level. It's especially common in runners, people who stand for long periods, and those with flat feet or high arches.
The good news is that plantar fasciitis responds well to the right treatment.
At Kinect, we address it through a combination of manual therapy, orthotics, shockwave therapy, and targeted exercise programming.
You don't have to limp through your mornings anymore.

If you're recovering from an injury and not sleeping well, your body is working against itself.
Sleep is when your tissues repair, inflammation settles, and your nervous system processes and integrates the work you've done in physiotherapy.
Research consistently shows that poor sleep slows healing, increases pain sensitivity, and makes it harder to build the strength your rehab program requires.
Small things make a real difference: a consistent sleep schedule, a cool dark room, limiting screens before bed, and avoiding heavy meals late at night.
If pain is disrupting your sleep directly, that's important information for your physio team to know. Recovery doesn't only happen in the clinic. It happens at 2 in the morning when your body is quietly doing the work.

Recovery is never just physical. When you're dealing with a significant injury or chronic pain, the emotional weight can be just as heavy as the physical limitations.
Anxiety about the future, frustration with slow progress, and the stress of being away from work or the activities you love are all part of the picture.
At Kinect, our team understands that healing happens more fully when we support both sides of that equation. That's why our care goes beyond the treatment table.

Your rotator cuff is a group of four muscles and tendons that hold your shoulder together and allow it to move freely.
When one or more of those tendons becomes irritated, torn, or inflamed, everyday tasks like reaching overhead or sleeping on your side can become genuinely painful.
Rotator cuff injuries are common in people who do repetitive overhead work, play sports, or simply experience the gradual wear that comes with age.
The good news is that most rotator cuff injuries respond very well to physiotherapy, and surgery is often not necessary.
Our team at Kinect will assess the extent of your injury and build a treatment plan focused on pain relief, restoring strength, and getting you back to full function.
You don't have to just live with shoulder pain.
