SPF season didn’t end when summer did. 👀
UV exposure continues year-round, even when the weather feels cooler and the sun seems less intense.
And during fall treatment season, that matters even more.
When we’re working on concerns like pigmentation, sun damage, texture or uneven tone, consistent sun protection helps protect the progress we’re trying to create in clinic.
It also matters around treatments like laser resurfacing, chemical peels and microneedling, when your skin may need more careful protection during recovery.
So yes, keep the SPF on your bathroom counter.
Use enough.
Reapply when needed.
Don’t forget your neck, chest and hands.
Good treatment results need good daily habits behind them.
Fall skin consultation bookings are open at Uplifted Medical.
Your facial can do a lot more than give you good skin for the day. 👀
The right facial can support hydration, congestion, texture and overall skin quality - especially when it’s chosen based on what your skin needs right now.
At Uplifted, we look at your skin first. What feels dry? What’s congested? What has changed? What are you using at home?
From there, your treatment can be customized to address your current concerns while supporting your longer-term skin goals.
And the work continues at home. Your skincare routine, SPF and consistency help protect the progress you’re making between appointments.

Your skin was never supposed to look like it has a filter on it. 👀
Pores. Texture. Fine lines. Small variations in tone. These are normal features of real, healthy skin - even when you have a great skincare routine and invest in professional treatments.
The problem is that our reference point has changed.
Filters can blur texture in seconds. AI can create skin that never existed. Editing and strategic lighting can make pores practically disappear. See enough of those images, and suddenly completely normal skin can start to look like something that needs to be “fixed.”
At Uplifted, we’d rather set goals that are realistic, measurable and appropriate for your skin.
That might mean improving uneven texture, softening the appearance of acne scarring or enlarged pores, supporting collagen, addressing pigmentation, or improving overall skin quality.
Treatments like microneedling and laser resurfacing can create meaningful improvements when they’re selected for the right concern - but the goal isn’t digitally perfected skin.
Healthy skin can still look like skin. And we think that’s an important conversation to keep having.

Acne can have more than one trigger - and finding yours can take some detective work. 🔎
Hormonal changes, stress, certain skincare habits, diet, medications or supplements, and other individual factors can all influence breakouts in different people.
That’s also why copying someone else’s acne routine from TikTok rarely gives you the full answer. Two people can have breakouts that look similar while needing very different approaches.
For Acne Awareness Month, a reminder from the Uplifted team: persistent acne deserves a proper assessment. We look at what your skin is doing, your current routine, possible triggers, and the type of acne we’re seeing before recommending a plan.
Sometimes the first step is adjusting home care. Sometimes professional treatments can help. Often, it’s a combination of both.
Struggling with recurring breakouts? Book a skin consultation and let’s figure out what may be contributing to yours.
We get to do this for a living. How lucky are we? 🥹💗
There’s something pretty special about watching someone leave the clinic feeling more confident than when they walked in.
But getting there takes a lot behind the scenes - continuing education, staying current with techniques and technology, careful assessments, honest conversations, and knowing when a treatment is (or isn’t) the right choice.
We take that responsibility seriously, while still having a lot of fun doing what we love.
Thank you for trusting the Uplifted team with your skin, your goals, and all the little questions you bring into the treatment room. We genuinely love being part of it. 💕

Some skin concerns need more than one strategy. 👀
That’s where thoughtful treatment pairing can be valuable.
Different treatments can address different aspects of the same concern. One may focus on collagen and texture, while another targets hydration, pigmentation, skin quality, or structural support.
That could look like:
→ Microneedling + skin booster for collagen, texture + hydration
→ Fotona resurfacing + targeted skincare for visible sun damage + texture
→ Sylfirm X + biostimulator for different approaches to collagen support
The important part? More treatments don’t automatically mean better results. Every pairing should have a clear clinical reason behind it and be selected based on your skin, your concerns, and your treatment goals.
Sometimes we recommend a combination. Sometimes we recommend starting with one treatment and reassessing from there.
Book a consultation at Uplifted Medical and let’s build a treatment plan around what your skin actually needs.
Our favourite four-letter word? LOVE. 💗
And what we love most is helping you feel your best - with thoughtful treatments, honest recommendations, and care guided by what your skin actually needs.
After a summer of sun, heat, SPF reapplications (we hope 👀), travel and changing routines, your skin may be ready for a check-in.
Fall is the perfect time to reassess what you’re seeing now, adjust your home care, and decide what deserves attention over the next few months.
Pigmentation? Texture? Dehydration? Fine lines? Collagen support? We’ll look at where your skin is today and help you figure out what comes next.
Consider this your reminder to book your fall skin check-in. 🍂
Come see us at Uplifted Medical. We’d LOVE to have you. 💕
“Once you start injections, you can never stop.” 👀
We’ve been hearing this one a lot lately, so let’s clear it up.
Neuromodulator treatments are temporary. Over time, their effect gradually wears off and muscle movement returns.
If you decide to stop treatments, you can.
Your face doesn’t suddenly “get worse” simply because you stopped. As muscle activity returns, the lines and movement that were being softened by treatment can gradually become visible again. That return to your baseline can sometimes feel more noticeable after getting used to seeing smoother skin.
Regular treatment can help reduce repetitive muscle movement while the neuromodulator is active, but continuing is always a personal choice.
You can maintain a schedule that works for you, space treatments out, or decide you no longer want them.
And yes - movement returning is expected. It doesn’t mean your treatment stopped working too soon or that something went wrong. 😉

We said what we said… and yes, we’re prepared to defend it in the comments. 👀😂
Aesthetics comes with a LOT of opinions. Add TikTok, trending treatments, filtered before & afters, and advice from people who have never assessed your face or skin, and suddenly everyone has a different rule for what you “should” be doing.
At Uplifted, our approach comes back to a few priorities every time:
→ clinical judgment over what’s currently popular
→ your anatomy and starting point before choosing a treatment
→ appropriate treatment settings over chasing the most aggressive option
→ realistic expectations around timelines and results
→ being willing to say “we don’t recommend that for you” when needed
Sometimes the treatment you came in asking for makes perfect sense.
Sometimes we’ll recommend a different direction.
And sometimes the best recommendation is to leave something alone.
Good aesthetic care includes knowing the difference.
Now that we’ve shared ours… what’s YOUR unpopular aesthetics opinion? 👀
Drop it in the comments. We can handle it. 😂
