Taylor came by this week for one last maintenance session before she moves away. I tidied up her roots, moved up her macrame accessories and did some more crochet work down the length of the locs. We also did some stretching and palm rolling in an effort to straighten out her locs and promote length rather than density. After a busy season snowboarding, Taylor came in for a maintenance session on her partials with macrame accents crocheted in. It’s easy for your locs to become matted under a helmet, but it’s an easy fix with a little bit of separating and crochet work. We moved up her macramés and got everything looking tidy. A light midwinter maintenance on myself featuring new dreadlock beads from ! Locs by Lola was born out of my own personal need for maintenance on my locs and a lack of lociticians in the area, so I always enjoy doing a tidy on myself. How cute are these dread beads?

Just a reminder to all that interlocking (aka root flipping) should never be used on straight hair types as it causes permanent damage to the locs. Luckily crochet method came to the rescue and we tidied everything up 🙏
