A friendly reminder to all of my wonderful clients;

I know summer is short, and we all want to make the most of the beautiful weather while it’s here. Last-minute plans, weekends away, and spontaneous adventures are part of what makes this season so enjoyable, and I completely understand wanting to take advantage of them. 🩵

With that in mind, I’d like to kindly remind everyone of my cancellation policy. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% cancellation fee, and missed appointments or cancellations without notice are subject to the full appointment fee.

This reminder is not directed at any one person. I’ve simply noticed an increase in last-minute cancellations during the summer months and wanted to gently remind everyone of the policy.

I am currently booked until September and am operating from a cancellation list for anyone hoping to get in sooner. Because of this, communicating as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment gives me the best opportunity to offer that time to another client who is waiting.

As a small business owner, my income is directly dependent on the appointments I book. When an appointment is cancelled on short notice, it’s often too late to fill that time, resulting in lost income. While certain situations will always be considered on a case-by-case basis, the cancellation policy will otherwise be applied consistently.

We cannot wait to celebrate the 12th annual Nevaeh’s Lemonade Stand with you today! Here are some frequently asked questions that may help with your planning:

🍋 When and where is the event?

Saturday, June 27 at Paradise Double Ice Complex from 12pm-4pm. Please use the main doors of the facility.

🍋 How much does it cost to attend?
Admission is FREE and donations are graciously accepted. Lemonade and cupcake tickets can be purchased for $2 each while food and craft vendors will have set prices where proceeds are donated to Nevaeh’s Angel Foundation. Games, face painting etc. are by cash donation. Cash preferred due to limited internet.

🍋 What if the weather is bad?
Rain or shine, the event will go ahead. The majority of the activities will take place inside the rink. There is also an exit to a gated area outside which will feature our classic car show and food trucks 😋

Plus countless other live performances throughout the day including dance troupes, musical theatre, cheerleading, drumline, pipe band and more!

🍋 Where can I park?
Parking is available on site at the event. Please respect the no parking areas and drive slowly and carefully in the parking lot.

🍋 Are there any raffle prizes?
Yes! We will be selling tickets on 50/50 and our WestJet Gift of Flight. Both prizes will be drawn for at the end of the event at 4:00pm.

🍋 Is there a designated seating area?
The bleachers inside the rink are available for attendees to use and also have a perfect view of the main stage.

🍋 Where does the money raised go?
All net funds raised stay right here in Newfoundland and Labrador to help children with pediatric cancer and their families!

The main goal of Nevaeh’s Angel Foundation is to raise money for sick children with pediatric cancer in need in Newfoundland and Labrador and to alleviate the financial stress that cancer can cause by providing monetary support to assist with costs related to: travel, hospital stays, accommodations, meals, and other costs of living.

You guys… I’m as tired of this winter as the rest of you. I’m dreaming of 30° + heat instead of 30+ cm of snow (for the hundredth time) 😩

For clients scheduled tomorrow, February 22nd: you will be contacted with an update on whether your appointment will go ahead or needs to be rescheduled. If you haven’t heard from me, please reach out before heading to the office.

If rescheduling is needed, I’ll do my best to get everyone back in as quickly as possible — thank you for your patience.

• Take frequent breaks
• Push snow when possible instead of lifting
• Keep loads small and lift with your legs, not your back
