Jay Shaw RMT
My name is Jay Shaw and I am a Registered Massage Therapist and FST L1 on Prince Edward at Reactive Health (Phyiso East)
Adding FST to my practice has taken treatment to another level. 💪
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an assisted stretching technique that targets your fascia and joints to improve mobility, reduce restrictions, and help your body move more efficiently.
Seeing clients leave with better movement and less stiffness reminds me why I invested in learning this. Looking forward to helping even more people perform, recover, and move at their best.
Thank you all for the continued support, it’s been so encouraging to see the amount of people who reached out. I consider FST so effective and I can’t stress it enough, you have to book yourself an FST treatment.
This week couldn’t have went any better, introducing FST to my clients has been incredible. The results that I’m seeing in my clients after treatment is unbelievable. Every client that received FST with massage treatments were in shock on how they felt afterwards, they couldn’t get enough. I’m so excited to share even more FST treatment with them. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to incorporate this into my treatment. I can’t say it enough, if you were on the fence with massage treatments this is the treatment for you, Trust the process! 🙏
“Are you tired of seeing FST content? Because I’m not. 😄
Every stretch has a purpose. Every session is another opportunity to help someone move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love.
So yes you’ll keep seeing Fascia Stretch Therapy, mobility tips, and recovery content around here. Because better movement isn’t a trend it’s a lifestyle.
If you’re stiff, sore, or feeling restricted, let’s change that.
📍Book your session and experience the difference.

Great crew to learn new skills with!
Ever been told you have a “knot” in your shoulder? 👀
Chances are, that’s what we call a trigger point.
A trigger point is a small, tight, irritated spot within a muscle that can cause:
• Local tenderness
• Aching or stiffness
• Pain that refers somewhere else (like shoulder tension causing headaches)
They often develop from:
✔️ Poor posture
✔️ Repetitive movements
✔️ Stress and muscle guarding
✔️ Previous injuries
✔️ Not enough recovery between workouts
Here’s the important part trigger points don’t just appear randomly. Muscles tighten for a reason. Sometimes it’s overload, sometimes it’s protection, and sometimes it’s simply too much sitting and not enough movement.
So how do we prevent them?
🔹 Move regularly (especially if you sit all day)
🔹 Strengthen weak muscles instead of only stretching tight ones
🔹 Manage stress (yes, your shoulders feel it)
🔹 Stay hydrated
🔹 Get regular maintenance treatment before things build up
And how do we treat them?
As an RMT, I use targeted pressure, myofascial techniques, and movement-based approaches to help release tension, improve circulation, and calm the nervous system. Sometimes it’s deep work but it should always feel productive, not punishing.
If you’ve been dealing with persistent “knots,” headaches, or tightness that won’t go away, your body might just need the right kind of reset.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions I’m always happy to help. 💪
