There are moments that even I surprise myself lol. I have been doing this job for 30 years 😳 and I still get nervous and doubt myself. This week I took on a task that was challenging, because I had one shot and an 800$ ‘s worth of hair to color match to a young lady. Ordering online is hard because you can’t really tell, so I said just get light blonde and I can color it to match her. 7 test strands later. Picked the shade and I almost did not have enough color. Didn’t think I would need that much lol. I knew it was close, but wanted to put it up against her natural to see what I needed to tweak. Now here is where I impressed myself lol. I was so nervous but I freaking nailed it. Like it matched 100% it’s gonna be amazing once we re shape and style it. Still have to tint some of the netting that I missed the first time. But am so excited !! And so impressed with myself. lol I mean I knew I could do it, but still….

So it’s not often I come in on a day off. But something told me this girl just needed help. It’s been a hot minute since I have seen a job like this. It still was not 100% perfect, but the canvas I had to work with was… well as you can see, challenging. The last two were the finished product. I don’t even know how you send someone out like that AND ask for payment. Anyways, hopefully I will see her again, and next time it will be perfect. 🤩

So this is Philip. He is a 16 year old mini poodle. He is mostly blind and partially deaf. Why am I posting him on my hair page? Well, his owner is Mauri, he is a Japanese hairdresser! Been doing hair for 30 years like me! I asked him how much his dog grooming was, and he said that he learned to groom dogs as well! Just like me. It was a very cool conversation on the corner of some random side street somewhere in Paris, cause that’s how I roll lol. He came from a family of barbers and works in fashion!! We had a very interesting conversation about the industry and how much it has changed over the years. He was in his 60’s and looked amazing!

I had one grad this year!! 🎉 I’ve watched this young lady grow up. Such an honour… love you Brynn.

Just a reminder that I am on vacation soon. Last day June 6th back to work the 23rd. I do still have some spots left.

Soooo I did a thing lol. I found a Texture perm. Cause I don’t really want curly hair, I just don’t want straight hair lol. Day 1, will see how it looks it 2 weeks. Hair feels good, locking in the mirror feels weird lol
