Dear neighbours and Community members,

As many of you know, for over 38 years I have had the absolute privilege of running Penny’s Hair Design. I have poured my heart and soul into this business and into our wonderful community, and I am so deeply grateful for the decades of loyalty, friendships, and memories we've shared. However, the time has come for me to step away, retire my shears, and move on to my next chapter.

​As part of this transition, I am currently selling my building and property to a new business, Into The Weeds.

​Right now, there is a Development Permit Application (DPA) before the Town Council to allow them to set up shop at my location. Because community feedback is a big part of the Council's decision-making process, I am reaching out to ask for your support to help get this approved.

​Welcoming this new business into our local economy brings several great benefits to our town:

​Boosted Local Economy: It will generate new, consistent commercial tax revenue to help fund our town's services and infrastructure.

​Job Creation: It will provide new employment opportunities right here at home for our residents.

​Healthy Competition: Having another cannabis retail option in the area encourages competitive pricing, which directly benefits local consumers.

​I also want to reassure everyone that this application is fully compliant with our local regulations; there are no existing bylaws against opening another cannabis shop in the Community or here in Northern Saskatchewan.

​It is very important to me that my building continues to be a vibrant, productive part of our commercial district after I retire . If you are in favor of supporting local economic growth and helping me transition into retirement, I would be incredibly grateful for your backing.

​Here is how you can help before the September 14th deadline:

​Contact Town Council: Reach out to one or more of our Town Council members directly by phone or email to express your support for the DPA at my address.

​Write a Letter: Drop off or email a brief letter of support to the Town Office.

​Every single call or letter makes a massive difference! Please feel free to share this post to help spread the word.
