With summer and camping season quickly approaching it's good to have the essentials on hand just in case ! This list of medical supplies created by pet desk provides a good list of supplies that could be included in a Pet First Aid kit.

My shop was my happy place, but sometimes in life your happy place can't be the priority.

Within the last 2 years my life has changed substantially and unexpectedly. The first obstacle was POSTPARTUM. ALL CAPS POSTPARTUM. After having 3 kids I thought little could knock me down but postpartum hit me like a freight train about 6 months after my little miss Riyah♡ was born. That freight train took me out and although I knew what it was, it was very hard to break free. I am FINALLY starting to feel a bit better. As I'm sure you could understand, this has taken a HUGE toll on my customer service skills.

In October of last year I realized I was not burning out but BURNT OUT and not physically or mentally healthy enough to continue working at my happy place. So with that, new BIG changes and a sense of relief and excitement to begin the reno at home so I could still have my happy place there. Renos taking much MUCH longer to complete then originally expected took a huge toll once again on my mental health and that freight train came back for yet another round.

I LOVE being a mom.
I love being a hairstylist.

But what I have finally realized is I have to take time to prioritize my health in order to keep doing what I LOVE (momlife) so I can hopefully return full time again to what I love (hair whitchery).

Mental health is HARD. Being a mom is HARD. Being a single mom is even HARDER.

So to all my amazing clients & the great people I have met doing what I love...

I apologize for not being more forthcoming, for not returning messages, for not answering the shop phone and for simply not being there for you.

I am feeling better, I am making changes so hopefully that dang freight train stays away from me so I can get back to that happy place.

For anyone feeling overwhelmed by motherhood, by postpartum, by life in general.. reach out to those you love because it gets better ♡

My dear clientele,

It is with heavy heart that I announce the 68 First Ave location is closing due to unforeseen circumstances. My last day taking clients in the shop is Oct 31st but I will still be available on a mobile basis immediately, and at my home salon, 32 Brewster Dr in Camp Morton starting on Nov 15th.

I want to thank all of my loyal clients who have been with me thus far and I hope we will continue to create with each other ♡
