Fresh Start is a community-driven event dedicated to helping students begin the school year feeling confident, prepared, and supported.

Hosted by The Barber Parlor, this annual community festival brings together local businesses, volunteers, barbers, and community partners to create a positive and welcoming experience for students and families. By offering free haircuts, snacks, music, and a supportive atmosphere, Fresh Start helps remove some of the stress that can come with preparing for a new school year and replaces it with encouragement, connection, and community pride.

This event is about more than just looking good on the first day of school—it’s about helping children feel seen, valued, and ready to step into the classroom with confidence. It’s also an opportunity for the community to come together, support local families, and show students that they are surrounded by people who care about their success.
