The time I played around with printed spikes + bottom lashes 👀✨

Definitely need to practice bottom lashes more even thoo it always been a love-hate relationship for me!!

👩‍🏫 Retention-wise, printed spikes, just like any other pre-made spikes or fans, need a specific application technique to achieve okay to decent retention. Since they’re pre-made so more porous, you don’t get the same fibre wrap around the natural lash that you would with a handmade spike or fan, which can definitely affect retention big time.

As for bottom lashes, I personally wouldn’t recommend them for everyday wear. I see them more for special occasions, content, or just for fun. The retention is nothing like your regular lash extensions that can last 4 weeks. From my personal experience, I’d say about 1–2 weeks max.

Abi joined our studio as an apprentice just one year ago… and look at her now. She’s officially part of the team, working evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays ✨

She specializes in wispy + wet sets (and she’s been killing it)

She’s still growing and refining her speed, but one thing I’m really proud of… is how intentional she is with her work. She really applies the techniques we teach and is constantly improving with every set 👏👏

The combination that no one really talks about
Being pregnant is not easy
self-employed is not easy

but pregnant + self-employed?
it’s a whole different level with a guilt that goes both ways
guilty for working too much & guilty for slowing down
Fear of not spending enough time with your baby & fear of not making money from your services anymore.

it honestly feels like there’s no winning sometimes

but here’s what I’m learning…
you figure it out
you adapt as you go , you can’t really plan it at 💯
But you make it work

because you have to…
and because you’re way more capable than you think

And the worse thing that can happen is you have to rebuild once you back from mat leave - you’ve done it once you can do it twice!

Unreal work by our senior lash artist Sadie ✨

Sadie has been with us for almost 2 years now, and it’s been amazing to see how much her work has grown through our mentorship & guidances!

At our studio, we put a lot of emphasis on technique, retention and consistency with all lash artists working alongside with us 🩷, and Sadie is such a beautiful example of what happens when an artist is dedicated to learning and improving.

She even participated in a lash competition this past December, which made us so proud of her, with this model!
