Prep matters.

Whether it’s a bigger resurfacing treatment or something seemingly simple, what happens before you get on the treatment bed matters too.

Part of my job isn’t just knowing how to treat your skin. It’s knowing when your skin is ready to be treated.

Better prep. Smarter treatments. Better outcomes. Wanna chat about it? Come by for a complimentary consult. 🤍

✨ September Summer Recovery Facial ✨

Summer is fun: sun, patios, chlorine, salt water, sunscreen buildup, late nights. Your skin isn’t always thrilled about it. As we move into a more corrective season of skincare, this is where you start.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗠𝗗+ 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 is a full 6-step treatment, not a quick surface-level facial, and it’s built to do more than reset you. It combines diamond-tip microdermabrasion, hydrogen water infusion, ultrasonic pore extraction, microcurrent toning, and electroporation to infuse targeted bio-serums deep into the skin. Each step builds on the last, clearing away what summer left behind while conditioning your skin for more advanced work ahead.

This September, we’re pairing it with a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗹. Peels use AHAs and BHAs to clear dead, dry summer cells so your skin can actually absorb what comes next, both in this facial and in the corrective treatments and actives you’ll be moving into this fall.

This facial does the real work: clearing summer’s damage and building the foundation your skin needs for the more advanced treatments ahead.

Want to make it part of your regular routine? This facial is available to purchase in multiples, so you can lock in future visits and keep your skin on track all season.

We talk a lot about percentages in skincare, “10% this, 20% that,” like it’s the only number that matters. This is exactly the kind of thing I’ve been learning so much more about while working with our lab and chemist on formulating our first few products.

Percentage tells you how much of an ingredient is in the bottle. It doesn’t tell you how much of it your skin can actually use.

Take acids as an example. The pH of a formula determines how much of that acid exists in its “free acid” form, the form that’s actually active and available to work on your skin. Two products can list the exact same percentage of the exact same acid and behave completely differently, because their pH is different. Same ingredient, same number on the label, totally different experience on your face.

And pH is really just one piece of it. Delivery, stability, the vehicle it’s formulated in, how tolerable it is for your skin barrier, all of it shapes how a product actually performs. Getting this right, ingredient by ingredient, is a huge part of what’s going into every product we’re building right now.

So next time you’re comparing products, it might be worth asking less “what percentage is it?” and more “how was it formulated?”

Still learning, still asking questions, still SO here for the science. 🧪 Obviously.

Drop a 🧪 in the comments if you’d be open to early sampling or trialling as we get closer to launch!

With so many communities across BC being impacted by wildfires right now, skincare is obviously not the most important conversation. But if you’re noticing changes in your skin, there’s a reason.

Support it. Protect it. Keep it simple.

Swipe for why.

And if you’re able, please consider supporting the Canadian Red Cross/Croix-Rouge Canadian Red Cross BC Wildfires Appeal and the people and communities who need it most. ❤️

We’re not chasing trends.

We’re filling the gaps that this industry has left open with products that do what they say and are formulated the right way.

What’s the deal with serums?

Here’s the real answer 👉🏻 if you have a specific skin concern, whether it’s dullness, pigmentation, fine lines, breakouts, or dehydration, a serum is often the product designed to target it.

Serums are typically formulated with a higher concentration of targeted active ingredients in a lightweight vehicle that helps deliver those ingredients efficiently to the skin.

While your cleanser removes impurities and your moisturizer supports the skin barrier, a serum is often the step that focuses on creating visible change.

What’s your favourite serum right now? 👇🏻⭐️

A huge thank you to my incredibly gracious client for allowing me to share her photos.

She came to see me hoping to improve both the appearance and the health of the skin on her arms.

These results are after just one Tixel treatment, with approximately six weeks between photos.

And the best part? We’re not done yet.

What do you think of her results? 👇
