As we wrap up our 20th Birthday month I’m left wondering,
How do you put 20 years of your life into one Instagram post?
Twenty years ago, at 26 years old, I opened the doors to Glow Day Spa with a dream, a team of three, two manicure stations, and two pedicure chairs.
As the years passed, we grew. We renovated, expanded, and eventually outgrew our first home at 110 Anne St.
In 2018, with Lawrence by my side we took the biggest leap of all and purchased an old car dealership and transformed it into the beautiful space we have today♥️
But the walls and renovations are only part of our story.
The true heart of Glow has always been the people.
Over the last two decades, we’ve welcomed thousands of clients who became so much more than clients, they became friends, family, and part of our story.
We’ve watched team members grow into incredible women, build careers, get married, become mothers, and chase dreams of their own.
Together we’ve celebrated birthdays, engagements, weddings, baby showers, and countless milestones.
And we’ve also stood beside one another through unimaginable heartbreak. We’ve grieved the loss of children, parents, spouses, family member and friends.
Through every season of life, we have carried each other.
Glow has been there through every chapter of my own life too.
I’ve welcomed all three of my precious children into the world since opening these doors. This business has seen me through some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows. It has shaped me, challenged me, humbled me, and blessed me in ways I could never have imagined including my bestest friend in the whole world, Lawrence joining me and the Glow team when I thought I couldn’t go on during the Covid lockdowns.
When I look back, I don’t see manicure tables or treatment rooms.
I see conversations, laughter, tears, hugs, prayers in confidence,friendships, and a community that chose us again and again.
To every team member, every client, and my family, thank you. You made this dream possible. And Lawrence, thank you for standing by my side through it all. ❤️
