✨MEET NURSE WENDY✨
At Solo Wellness, we’re lucky to have someone who is equal parts compassionate, knowledgeable, and wonderfully authentic.

Born and raised in Dapp, Alberta, Wendy grew up playing every sport she could and graduated from RF Staples in Westlock. She went on to become a Registered Massage Therapist, practicing for 13 years after graduating from the Alberta Institute of Massage. In 2010, she graduated from Northern Lakes College as an LPN and has since dedicated her career to caring for patients in the Barrhead Emergency Department. She also works part-time at the Barrhead Medical Clinic as an MOA, making healthcare her true calling.

She’s been happily married for over 25 years and is a proud mom of three grown boys. When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll likely find her golfing, playing a slow-pitch game, camping, hiking, traveling, or spending time outdoors.
(Diehard fan of the oilers and Toronto blue jays)

If you ask those who know her best, they’ll tell you she’s caring, no-nonsense, and a straight shooter—What you need to hear with a strong kindness whether you want to hear it or not. She’s also the nurse who could probably start an IV from a mile away… and secretly gets a little too much satisfaction from ripping unwanted hair off during waxing. 😆

Outside of work, she’s a fan of a perfectly organized stack of Post-it notes, smooth gel pens, a great car karaoke playlist, a strong morning coffee, a well-timed prank, a belly laugh with friends, and ending the day with a great glass of wine.

Whether you’re visiting us for wellness services, or a little self-care, you’ll always be greeted by someone who genuinely cares and will make you feel comfortable every step of the way.
