Today hit differently.
It was a day of celebration as we marked our grandson’s first birthday—his smile, his spirit, and the joy he’s brought into our world over the past year.
But it was also a day of deep reflection… as we said goodbye to Taleah.
Taleah wasn’t just a friend—she was a fellow creative, a hairdresser, an educator, and one of the most beautifully bold humans I’ve ever known. She was part of the memories that shaped me—not just in our industry, but as a person.
From riding motorbikes and learning to drive before our teens, to sharing life’s chaos, wins, and first loves—Taleah and her brother Ryan were like my second family. And somewhere along the way, they gave me my forever nickname: LennyHell.
As hairdressers and educators, we give so much of ourselves to others—but today reminded me to hold space for our own hearts too. For the memories. For the people. For the love.
We’re not here forever, but while we are—make it matter. Teach with heart. Laugh loudly. Hug your people. And always, always make time for the memories that feed your soul.
Rest easy, Tal. Until we meet again. Love ya.

I don’t have the right words, because there are none for loss. I want you all to take a moment today — pause, breathe, and send your love and energy to those who need it most.
Today, I’m sending all of mine to Steven, Bec, and little Georgie, who are facing the unimaginable — saying goodbye to the baby boy they never got to keep.
A goodbye no parent should ever have to say.
I want to take a moment to honour the incredible humans behind the chair — the ones who cut, colour, style, and pamper, but also the ones who listen with open hearts. They hold space for our stories, our silence, our tears, and our laughter — without ever being trained in therapy.
What do I get up to on a Thursday?I get to live the dream—supporting joy, rhythm, connection, and community.Every Thursday, I have the absolute privilege of joining Ky Lovell Music and helping deliver something truly special: the Redcliffe Peninsula Drum Circle and Jammalong. It’s a space where music brings people of all abilities and backgrounds together—laughing, drumming, connecting, and feeling seen.I’m so lucky Ky asked me to be a part of this. Watching this group grow week after week is something I’ll never take for granted.We are always on the lookout for instruments and donations to help support this growing movement.
