A big shift in the way I approach aesthetics has been thinking less about what can we add? and more about what can we support?
Collagen, skin quality and the health of the tissue itself play such a huge role in how we age. After being in the industry for over 8 years, I’m now such a big believer in treatments that work gradually and focus on the longer term.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for volume replacement or treatments that create a more immediate change. There absolutely is.
For me, it’s about finding the balance between the two and creating a treatment plan that actually makes sense for the individual I’m treating, not just treating for the sake of treating.
Swipe through for a little more on why regeneration has become such a big focus in my approach 🫶🏼

MICRONEEDLING ✨
There’s a reason this treatment is so popular. It’s one of my favourites for working on overall skin quality, texture, pores, fine lines, acne scarring and general dullness.
Rather than trying to give you an overnight “fix”, we’re essentially encouraging your skin to do what it already knows how to do: repair, regenerate & make more collagen.
The treatment itself is only the beginning, with your skin continuing to remodel in the weeks afterwards.
Not sure if microneedling is right for your skin? Book in for a consult and we can chat through your concerns & what’s actually going to be worth investing in for you.

If I could convince you to invest in one treatment for long-term ageing concerns, it would be biostimulators.
Rather than simply “filling” an area, biostimulators work by encouraging your skin to produce more of its own collagen over time, helping to improve skin firmness, structure and support.
It’s one of my favourite treatment approaches for patients who tell me that they want to age well.
Not sure if biostimulation is right for you? Book a consultation and we can chat through your skin, facial changes and concerns.

What are skin boosters?
Skin boosters can refer to many different treatments that are designed to improve skin quality, but they all work differently.
Some focus on hydration, some stimulate collagen, some remodel the skin, and some do a combination of all three. Which one is right for you depends on your skin concerns, your goals, and what your skin actually needs.
A thorough consultation allows us to assess your skin, talk through your concerns, and create a treatment plan that’s tailored specifically to you.

Life lately!!!!! I have been quite absent on the socials the past few weeks as there has been SO much happening…
Recent weeks have looked like very busy clinic days, puppy cuddles, celebrations, getting back into the gym, and trying to be a bit more present offline 🤍

If your neck seems to have aged faster than your face… you’re definitely not alone.
Platysmal bands are one of the most common concerns I see in clinic. They often become more noticeable with age, collagen loss and everyday muscle movement.
The best treatment depends on why they’re appearing in the first place and not everyone needs the same approach.
If you’ve been noticing your neck more than you used to, it might be time for a consultation to discuss your options.

With flu season starting to pick up, it’s important to plan your appointments around vaccines and illness where possible.
A couple of things I’m reminding my patients of lately:
• Please allow a 2 week interval between vaccinations and cosmetic treatments
• If you’re feeling unwell, feverish or actively sick, please let me know as early as possible so we can reschedule your appointment safely
• Prioritising your health always comes first
Your safety and outcomes are always the priority in clinic 🤍

In honour of international nurses day last week (bit late to the party) I thought I’d be cringe and share some photos of my journey in my nursing career! It feels so surreal looking back at how much I’ve achieved in my career so far - and there’s still so much more to go.
1. Uni! I went to such a great uni and had some amazing placements. I actually knew I wanted to become a cosmetic nurse back then, and was one of the only ones out of hundreds of nursing students.
2. Baby hospital nurse. I worked in 2 big Melbourne hospitals for a couple of years before leaving the hospital setting. I really wanted to get this experience first as I truly think it’s necessary. I learnt SO much during this time and cannot believe how much I grew as a person. During this time I did my first cosmetic injectables training.
3. I began working in dermatology. It opened so many doors for me. Getting a job as a cosmetic nurse is not easy so I thought this could be a way to get my foot in the door. Little did I know I would actually become obsessed with the medical side of dermatology nursing too! My skill set rapidly developed, I became quite senior in my role, took on more cosmetic responsibilities and eventually out grew the clinic I was working at.
4. I had started working with a beautiful cosmetic nurse aswell where I learnt so much. I was so grateful for that role and loved the cosmetic clinic I worked in. I eventually left and had always wanted to open my own business so that’s what I did!
5. My dermatology job allowed me to create some great connections so I now I also work with an amazing dermatologist and nurse practitioner who I’d worked with previously. My role now is mostly cosmetic and laser which I love. I also do some work in another medical dermatology clinic too which is fun! Balancing my own business and the other clinics, but loving the journey 💗🫶🏽
