Eyeliner for Hooded Eyes 👀
It can be this easy. You just have to have the right eyeliner and brush to help with the application.
If you find applying eyeliner hard try this method. I’m usually a liquid eyeliner girl but when stock runs low my go to is the gel eyeliner in dark brown.
Tight lining the water line is definitely a must if you don’t have much lid space and want to avoid eyeliner transfer but still want your eyes to look defined but soft.
To avoid eyeliner transfer even further I would set the eyeliner with an eyeshadow. Be sure to tap the excess eyeshadow off your eyeliner brush first before going in heavy because this can leave your eyelashes with eyeshadow fall out which then means panda eyes for the rest of the day…🐼 IYKYK

Growing up in an immigrant Vietnamese family with 5 children, buying things at full price was just straight up STUPID. 😂
My mum ALWAYS waited for the specials.
Woolies. Coles. Wherever.
If something we used regularly was half price? She wasn’t buying one. She was STOCKING UP.
So when COVID hit and everyone suddenly lost their minds over toilet paper, my mother was not worried one bit. 😂
Why?
Because this woman already had a laundry FULL of toilet paper and tissues.
Her nervous system had been preparing her for a zombie apocalypse since the Y2K 2000s and COVID just gave her a reason to finally feel validated. 😂😂😂
And honestly, I think that mentality is now running through my veins. I’ll be damned if I had to buy tissues at full price rather than go to my local Asian chemist to get it for $0.80.

POV: You create the perfect winged eyeliner with your eyes closed… only to open them and watch it disappear into the fold 👀
It’s not you. And you’re not “bad at eyeliner.”
Most traditional eyeliner tutorials are demonstrated on eyes with plenty of visible lid space but for hooded, monolid and uneven eyes it needs a completely different approach.
The secret is to stop forcing both eyes to follow the same eyeliner shape.
Your eyes are sisters, not twins. If one eye is more hooded than the other, your eyeliner may need to be placed at a slightly different angle or thickness on each side for them to look balanced when your eyes are open.
Try mapping your wing with your eyes open and looking straight ahead. For hooded and monolid eyes, a more horizontal wing can elongate the eye without disappearing into the fold.
And if your eyeliner keeps transferring or giving you panda eyes 🐼, it may not be your product, it could be where you’re placing it or whether you’re allowing it to dry before opening your eyes.
Eyeliner isn’t one technique that should be copied onto every eye shape. It needs to be adapted to the person sitting in your makeup chair.
