There are some goodbyes that are simply impossible to put into words...

This week, we say our final salon farewell to the incredible woman who started it all, Emily.

Emily, you opened the doors to Obsession Hair all those years ago and begun building something truly special. Something so special, no one could ever replace 🤍
Obsession Hair has never just been a salon. It has been our second home....and it was You Emily, that created that second home. Not just for me, but for all of us that walked through the doors of Obsession Hair.

For eighteen years, we've stood side by side through every season of life. We've celebrated weddings, birthdays and babies, we have cried, wiped away mountains of tears (good and bad), shared countless laughs (with a bit of laughing asthma 😂), supported each other through the hard days, and in amongst all that, welcomed hundreds of clients through the doors, who have managed to become so much more than clients...they have become our extended family 🤍

Eighteen months ago, Emily handed me the keys to the salon that she had poured her heart and soul into. Something I don't think she'll ever truly understand what an honour that was, or how much trust it took to let someone else carry your dream forward. I have the biggest shoes to fill, and I hope over time I can make you proud.

Emily, there is and always will be a part of you in every part of this salon. Your passion, your kindness, your talent, your work ethic and your enormous heart have shaped not only this business, but every single person lucky enough to have worked beside you! 🥰

Thank you for believing in me all those years ago. Thankyou for your patience (you have needed alot of the years), your guidance and support, and most of all your love and incredible friendship. You have made not only myself but, all of us over the years feel so incredibly valued and beyond loved 🥰

Thank you for creating a place where so many beautiful memories were made, lifelong friendships have been formed, and so many people felt incredibly comfortable, welcomed and cared for. Everyone deserves an 'Emily' in their lives 🥰

While this is your final goodbye to Obsession Hair, it will NEVER be goodbye to us! Some people leave a workplace...but you leave so much more...a lasting impression on us all that can never be matched and one that will be so sadly missed 😢

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for absolutely everything. Thankyou for being my person. Thankyou for being everyone's person! To be honest, no amount of Thankyou's will ever be enough! I know I wouldn't be the person, hairdresser or business owner I am today without you...You are one in a million!

We are going to miss hearing you come through the door in the mornings, all the chats, hearing your laugh and all your wise words of advice. We are just simply going to miss you, more than you know! You are so loved 🥰
So I propose to you...that you visit for coffee/tea, cake and snacks on a regular basis and that you keep the deliveries arriving to work just so we get to see you everyday to pick up your packages 😂 we are desperate to keep you coming back as much as possible!

I could go on forever, because no words will ever be enough to say thankyou and how much we will miss you. So on that note....

Obsession Hair will always be your story first and forever.

As the cost of products and running a small business continues to rise, this increase will help us continue providing the care, quality and experience you deserve.

Please know this decision hasn't been made lightly. We are endlessly grateful for your support, loyalty and trust.
