Kinda chic to prioritise your health ✨️
I'm not worried about if you can do a plank or sit up. What I want to know is - can you push the pram uphill on a beautiful sunny day, with no pain? Can you participate in your favourite gym class and not feel broken that same night? Can your body effectively manage pressure and load after having a baby, so that you can enjoy motherhood without those niggles?
I was feeling like a prawn yesterday. So I thought, why not show you the 4 quick exercises that got me through the day - so you can try them too!
Video is sped up x2.
12 reps is a good number...

It's major surgery. And women are still not getting the care they deserve.
Thank goodness for all the beautiful proacrive midwives who are sending out resources and for all the manual praccies who are providing support.
You've had the scans. You've tried stretching, massage, pilates, injections... and yet the pain is still there 🫠
Frozen shoulder. Gluteal tendinopathy. Plantar fasciitis. Jaw pain.
But here's a question that some of us praccies are missing; what if your hormones are part of the puzzle?
Hormonal shifts-especially during perimenopause and menopause, can influence collagen health, tendon resilience, tissue recovery, inflammation, and even how we experience pain.
That doesn't mean hormones are always the cause.
Buuuut is it one of the missing pieces??
Women's pain deserves more curiosity.
If you're in you're late 30's, 40's and 50's, send this to a GF who needs to watch 💛

Your C-section scar is SO MUCH MORE than the line you see on your body 💪💛
Behind that scar is a story that's uniquely yours.
To bring your baby into the world, your body underwent major abdominal surgery. Layer by layer, it healed to protect you. Scar tissue is a completely normal and incredible part of that healing process.
But sometimes those tissues don't regain the same freedom of movement they once had.
That can leave some women experiencing:
✨ Pulling or tightness
✨ Tenderness or numbness
✨ Discomfort with movement or exercise
✨ A feeling that their body just doesn't move the way it used to
It doesn't mean your scar is the cause of every ache or pain.
But it might be one piece of the puzzle 🧩
C-section scar release is a gentle, hands-on treatment that aims to improve scar mobility, reduce sensitivity, and help the surrounding tissues move more freely.
Whether your baby is 8 weeks, 8 months, or 18 years old, it's often not 'too late' to give your scar the attention it deserves.
Postpartum care shouldn't end at six weeks 🫠
And neither should feeling supported 👭👭👭👭
💛 However you feel about your scar-whether it's pride, gratitude, grief, or a mix of emotions- your experience matters, and your body deserves compassionate care.
Have you ever wondered if your scar could be contributing to how your body feels?

1. Your neck, jaw, shoulders never got the memo that the danger has passed.
2. Your body takes longer to recover (and it's not because you're getting older).
3. Your pain flares up during stressful periods
4. Your muscles may be part of the story, but may not be the whole story.
5. You move plenty...but your body still feels stuck.

Repeat after me. Boundaries. Support. Sustainability. You've got this ✨️

Hills I will die on as a mother, women's health myotherapist and ex burnt out business owner.
Part 1.
1. You can't think your way out of nervous system dysregulation. Awareness is awesome. Insight is incredible. But if your body isn't functioning well physiologically, you're gonna stay stuck in that dysregulated tornado.
2. Making yourself constantly busy could maybe be emotional avoidance. Anger, grief...cannot be felt if every moment is busy. You gotta feel it to heal it.
3. You don't have to hit rock bottom to justify change. Pivot ASAP to avoid suffering. Tune into your intuition again...it never left you.
4. Loving your career or motherhood doesn't shield you from burn out. Purposeful work and well aligned lifestyles can still deplete a woman if the boundaries, support and sustainability is absent.
Follow along for Part 2! 💛
