How is your rotation pattern?

✅ Internal Rotation Pattern: When the Legs Turn Inward

▪️Internal rotation of the lower limbs can affect the alignment of the hips, knees, ankles, and feet. When excessive, it may change how forces travel through the legs during standing, walking, and running.

🟣 What happens?
→ Hip: The femur rotates inward.
→ Knee: The knee and tibia may rotate inward, sometimes contributing to a knee-in position.
→ Foot: The foot may excessively pronate, with the arch lowering inward.

🟣 Possible problems
→ Knee discomfort, including patellofemoral pain
→ Hip or groin discomfort
→ Foot and arch pain
→ Altered walking or running mechanics
→ Increased stress on muscles and joints

🟣 What can help?
→ Strengthening the gluteal and hip external rotator muscles
→ Improving hip, knee, and ankle movement control
→ Appropriate footwear when needed
→ Gait and movement retraining
→ Physiotherapy assessment when pain or functional problems persist

⚠️ Important: Internal rotation or foot pronation is not automatically abnormal or harmful. Some degree is part of normal movement. Treatment should be based on symptoms, function, and an individual assessment rather than appearance alone.
