It’s that time of year, milky oat tops fresh off the farm. Getting them prepared and ready so we can create our potent tincture. Milky oat tops are amazing for nervous system support. They smooth the rough edges and make everything better, instantly.

Fun fact:
The medicinal properties of milky oats are highly perishable, and we have to work quickly when they come in from the farm. To retain their benefits the fresh oat tops must be tinctured immediately after harvest before they lose their “milk”!

As herbalists and wellness practitioners, we hear a lot.

And one thing that keeps coming up? Vaginal steams. Yoni steams. V-steams. Whatever name people are using, customers ask us all the time:

“Is this true?”

And honestly? A lot of what we see and hear is just marketing dressed up as medicine.

It is wild how comfortable some people are selling big promises to women who are looking for real support. BV. Yeast. UTIs. Fibroids. PCOS. Fertility. Menopause. Trauma. Folks are out here putting every pain point on a flyer and calling it herbalism. Steam does not magically travel through the va**na, pass the cervix, and cleanse the uterus. The v***a, va**na, cervix, and uterus are not the same thing. If the marketing does not understand basic anatomy, you should question the claim.

We are here to tell you some of this stuff is not herbalism .... it’s a sales pitch!

Now, let’s be clear: yoni steams can be very powerful.

Warm steam, good herbs, quiet time, and attention to the pelvic space can be deeply supportive. Steam can carry the aromatic properties of herbs, bring warmth to the v***a and pelvic area, support circulation, encourage softness, and help you reconnect with your body in a meaningful way.

That is real.
That has value.
That is healing.

But healing and curing are not the same thing.

At Dope Botanicals, we believe in real herbal education. We can honor the plants, honor traditional practices, and still tell the truth.

We believe in

Real organic herbs.
Real education.
Body care with integrity.

Adaptogens are having a moment, and although they have become very popular, they are not new, and they are definitely not just a random dust added to your latte... At least they shouldn’t be.

Adaptogens are herbs, roots, berries, and mushrooms. They are traditionally used to help the body adapt to stress, and they support resilience over time. Some are calming. Some are energizing. Some are nourishing. Some help support focus, stamina, restoration, mood, and deep replenishment.

We use adaptogens in several of our products, but adaptogens are not one-size-fits-all. The right herb depends on your body, your stress pattern, your energy, your sleep, your constitution, and what you are trying to support. That’s why formulation matters.

Pull up to the shop and find the herbs that actually make sense for you.
