In a world that rewards purity culture or demands my body be used for others, I’m playing with sensuality in the woods by myself like a little forest fae

I saw the two ravens and it lifted my heart. Immediately following a feeling of dread. Ravens call to us to warn us, about things coming. Not bad, not good, but something that’s going to elevate our awakening. Ravens travel in pairs.

Maybe I’m deeply afraid of the idea of being in a pair. The idea of being half to a whole.

I know logically it doesn’t negate my wholeness. But I’ve never known the idea of union without abandoning parts of myself…

after this experience, I went home and did a protection ritual. One with the intention of being held by the divine mother. Being protected by her light.

I continue to meet women on my path, that call me higher, that remind me of the divine within myself, and that give me a good laugh about the current state of the world.

Journal thoughts.

In honour of the full moon…. Let me just yap about Hekate for a second.

The triple goddess who was a titan.
I was reading a beautifully done article titled “Hekate: World Soul, Cosmic Bridge and a Liminal Goddess” on Symbolreader.net.
Hekate is older than Ancient Greece. Evidence of her as a goddess come from the Karian people in where is now Turkey.
When Zeus overthrew the titans, he actually gave Hekate a share of the earth, sea, and heaven. He made her the “nursemaid” of all living things. This actually diminished the power of other goddesses. But she would collaborate with deities to give humans what they were looking for. She was a mediator between the divine realm and humanity.
Liminal.
She was a key player in the myth of Persephone being abducted by Hades. Helios, the sun god, saw the kidnapping happen. But Hekate HEARD it. She felt it in her subconscious. Again, that moon intuition. The celestial counterpart to the sun. She appeared to Demeter in the dead of night holding torches to console her. Hekate travels back and forth with Persephone to the underworld.
Hekate was also thought of as a cave dweller. Which is important in the cosmic womb sense.
She had the power to ward off evil as she is an incredibly protective goddess. Her shrines were built in thresholds and liminal spaces.
She guarded crossroads, where restless and malevolent spirits prowled. The restless spirits that Hades did not take to the underworld were her companions. Hekate kept the strong boundaries of the malevolent spirits and realm of the living.
Because she held the keys, she could keep the boundary within the cosmos closed. If you wanted access to the other side, you had to go to Hekate. Which is where she gets her association with Magic.
Because the moon is a liminal point, she began to be associated with the moon. And because the moon was thought of to be the “sphere of daimons” she was their mistress. Getting the help of a daimon required asking Hekate.
However, her as the Platonic Cosmic Soul, Animus Mundi, is my favourite aspect. The womb of creativity and intuition. A channel where influences from above come into the physical world. She was thought to “facilitate soul releasing communication between man and god” (Hekate Soteira)
