I told my wig sister I was thinking about buying this wig, and since she already owns it, she offered to send me hers so I could try it first.

She also told me, “I think you’re going to love it. I think you’re going to be really happy with it.”

Now maybe something got lost in translation, but I feel like that translates to… she wants me to keep it. 😂

For many of us, one of the things we never expected from our hair loss journey was the friendships and community we’d find along the way. 🤍

This space has brought some incredibly supportive women into our lives, women we may never have met otherwise, and we know we’re not alone in that.

Becky and I have been talking, plotting, sharing ideas and discussing collaborations for a long time, despite living an ocean apart. And this one really was just a bit of fun, and felt like a natural sequel to Holly’s story that Sam joined us both for last December.

From the moment Becky first put Margot by Petite Wigs on in Dove Grey, she talked about wanting to see her on me. For obvious reasons, we rarely choose the same hair colours, so there was only one way to find out whether we’d finally found one we could agree on.

There have been lots of conversations recently about wig friends wishing they lived closer. Don’t let the miles stop you. We both regularly swap and share wigs through the post.

So maybe that’s our challenge to you: send the hair. Make the swap. Share the fun. Distance really doesn’t have to get in the way of a good friendship.

I’ve learned that wigs aren’t nearly as secretive as people think. 🤎

I’m 56, I have thinning hair from female pattern hair loss, and I’ve been wearing wigs for years. What started as something I felt I needed to keep quiet eventually became something I’m comfortable talking about openly.

And this is real life with wigs. After a long shift, sometimes mine is coming off before I even leave the parking lot. 😂
