Some moments don’t just make you smile… they remind you how far you’ve come. ā¤ļø

Almost 7 years ago, I sat on this set as a jewelry maker with a dream, hoping someone would connect with what I was creating.

Walking back into the BronxNet studio this week felt completely different. Not because the dream changed, but because it grew.

One of the most emotional moments happened before the cameras even started rolling. Rhina Valentin and her incredible team BronxNet TV surprised me by putting together clips from my very first appearance all those years ago. Watching that version of myself while preparing to share where Bodacious Bijous is today was something I’ll never forget.

Rhina, thank you for continuing to create a space where artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives are seen and celebrated. Your generosity and encouragement mean more than you know.

These photos are just a little peek behind the scenes from the present and my first appearance… because tomorrow I share the interview with all of you, if you haven’t seen it yet. I can’t wait. šŸ’›

And if there’s one thing I hope this reminds someone today, it’s this:

Keep showing up.
Keep creating.
You never know when you’ll look back and realize you’ve been building something bigger than you imagined.

✨ Tomorrow… the full interview.

Confession: I’m not a model… and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do with my hands. šŸ˜‚

Creating jewelry? That’s the easy part.

Standing in front of the camera wearing it? That’s definitely outside my comfort zone.

For a long time, I let the jewelry do all the talking because it felt safer. But I realized something. People don’t just connect with beautiful pieces. They connect with the people and stories behind them.

So I’m choosing to show up, even if it’s a little awkward, because Bodacious Bijous is more than jewelry. It’s creativity, growth, courage, and a little bit of me in every piece.

So here’s to embracing the awkward, laughing at ourselves, and showing up anyway.

Because it’s not just jewelry. It’s a feeling. šŸ’›

There was a time when I thought I had to choose.

Gold or silver.
Classic or bold.
Follow the ā€œrulesā€ or wonder if I was doing it wrong.

The longer I’ve worn jewelry, the more I’ve realized that style isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about expressing who you are on any given day.

Some days call for something simple. Other days call for layers, color, sparkle, or a mix of metals. None of those choices are wrong if they make you feel like yourself.

That’s one of the reasons I love jewelry so much. It gives us the freedom to tell our story without saying a word.

✨ I’d love to know… what’s the first thing you choose when you’re getting ready: your outfit or your jewelry?

A little reminder before the day ends: choose the things that make you feel most like yourself. ✨

Sometimes it is your mindset. Sometimes it is the jewelry you put on before you even choose the outfit. Either way, you deserve to carry a little joy with you.

What is one small thing that helped you feel good today?

I don’t think jewelry is just something we wear.

Sometimes it’s a gift.

Sometimes it’s a reminder.

Sometimes it’s simply the piece that makes us feel like ourselves.

I’d love to hear your story.

What’s one piece of jewelry you’ll never part with, and why? šŸ’›

Your jewelry should be just as fun as getting dressed.

These layered earrings are lightweight enough for all-day wear, but bold enough to make even the simplest outfit feel complete. Whether you’re drawn to soft pastels or vibrant colors, there’s a pair that fits your style.

šŸ’¬ Which color are you choosing today? Tell me in the comments!

One of the unexpected highlights from my trip to California! 😊

I traveled there to support my daughter’s art business, and while I was there I had the opportunity to meet a few familiar faces. It was such a fun experience, but more importantly, it reminded me that saying ā€œyesā€ to new opportunities often leads to unforgettable memories.

Grateful for the adventure and excited for what’s next.
