Ariel’s birthday is more than just a celebration of another year. For me, it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness. And seeing so many people celebrate this precious child with us reminded me once again of just how intentional and faithful God has been.

Today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

There was a time when I experienced a pain I never imagined I would have to know, and there are some kinds of pain that words simply cannot explain. I remember the emptiness, the questions, the tears, and the silence that followed.

And then, almost immediately, God gave me another reason to hope.

He blessed me with you, Ariel.

You came into my life at a time when my heart was still healing, and somehow, without even knowing it, you brought light into places that had been dark. You brought laughter where there had been tears. You brought warmth where there had been emptiness. You gave me another reason to smile, another reason to pray, another reason to be grateful.

You are Ariel. And you are deeply loved.

Looking at you today, I cannot help but see the faithfulness of God. The same God who carried me through my darkest moment is the God who gave me the privilege of holding you in my arms.
