Carcinomatosis peritonei
14 years old boy with obstructive hydrocephalus caused by brain tumors blocking the natural CSF pathways, VPS shunt done before 8 months which can provide the means for tumor cells to be spread with the CSF to the peritoneal cavity .
Interestingly the original tumor was in the retroperitoneal space undiagnosed and was of high grade malignancy Which was spread to the brain and causing hydrocephalus then metastasised again to the peritoneal cavity through the shunt and causing severe abdominal pain since that time until lastly unfortunately presented with profuse intra abdominal bleeding,DIC and renal failure.
