People think your biggest fear is not getting pregnant.

But for me, after everything I’d been through, it became getting pregnant again and wondering if I’d have to live through loss one more time.

After loss, pregnancy doesn’t always feel the way you imagined it would.

The excitement can sit alongside fear.
The hope can sit alongside anxiety.
And sometimes, instead of allowing yourself to enjoy the little moments, you find yourself waiting for something to go wrong.

Checking for symptoms.
Overthinking every ache.
Counting down to the next scan.
Trying not to get too attached, just in case.

And I think that’s something people don’t talk about enough.

Because you can be so grateful to finally be pregnant and still be terrified.

You can want this baby more than anything in the world, while simultaneously protecting your heart from the possibility of losing them.

But somewhere along the way, I realised I didn’t want fear to take this pregnancy away from me too.

I didn’t want to spend these months surviving each day, only to look back and realise I’d been too afraid to actually live them.

I decided fear doesn’t deserve to have every moment.

And I know that seeing another pregnancy announcement can be incredibly painful when you’re still waiting for your own happy ending.

I know because I’ve been there.

So please know this announcement is not me forgetting what loss feels like, or assuming that everyone will be happy to see it. I would never want to push my joy into someone else’s pain.

I’m sharing this because I’ve had my own battles too.
I’ve known the heartbreak, the uncertainty, the waiting, the fear of trying again.

And somehow, after everything, here we are. 🙏🏼

Still hopeful.
Still healing.
Still choosing to believe in good things.

And this time, I’m letting myself enjoy it.

Over half way to meeting you.

Something I keep hearing recently. Yes the old microblading technique heals horribly, we weren’t taught about the importance of ink choice and spacing within strokes back then. But like anything, technique gets better…. And as long as you stay educated on current techniques, microblading is still my favourite method of semi permanent brows.
